A group of cadets participated in a Swacch Bharat Aviyan programme conducted by NCC group, jorhat on 12th Feb,2015 NCC Total six cadets participated in a Combined Annual Training Camp held in Bhalukmara,Jorhat from 18th Feb,to 27th Feb,2015. NCC On 1st Mar.,2015 total 28 cadets appeared in NCC 'B' Certificate Examination held in Jorhat Govt.Boys School.Lt.S.S. S.Regon was appointed as an official for conducting the examination. NCC In a Special National Integration Camp held in Lakshydeep from 19th April to 30th April,2015, cadet Bijoy Bhumij(H.S.II),Manash Protim Bordoloi (H.S.II) and Debabrat Saikia participated. Activities of IQAC during the period: On 21st March 2015, a workshop was organized on Autonomous Status. Resource persons were invited from Autonomous Colleges of North East India , namely -North Lakhimpur, Patkai Christian College- Dimapur and also from Dibrugarh University. All faculty members , GB members and alumni association members of J.B.College, Jorhat attended the workshop. Positive and negative implications of Academic Autonomy has been thoroughly discussed. 22. Activities of Student Counseling and Guidance Cell On 26th August 2014 J.B.College Carrer Counseling Cell organized a programme on Personality Development in collaboration with ILFS,Guwahati in conference Hall 1 from 2 pm 70 students participated in this programme. Mrs.Nivedita Borthakur of ILFS was the resource person of the programme.

A three days workshop on the topic Career as a Makeup Artist was organised by JBCCCC and extension and extension service of Student Union Body of J.B.College on 3rd,4th and 6th September.Thirty (30) students participated in the programme and Mrs.Dipti Das,instructor of ITI Jorhat was the resource person.

JBCCCC Career Counseling cell organized a Workshop on Entrepreneurship Development from 15th to 28th September 2014 in collaboration with NESSIA. The programme was sponsored by Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises,Govt. of India. Altogether 33 students participated in the programme.

JBCCCC jointly organized a national workshop-cum-awareness programme on the topic-Health and Healthy Lifestyle with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development on 27th and 28th February, 2015. 120 students participated both from the college and outside the college. The resource persons were dr. Saurabh Borkotoky, Dr. Rajib Borkotoky, Dr. Sankar Jyoti Parashar, Dr. Amiya Sharma, Dr. Bhaktimoy Bhattacharya, Dr. Ruma Bhattacharya, Dr. Jayanta Das, Smti. Anjana Borthakur and mr. Suren Handique. They delivered valuable lectures and training for health and healthy lifestyle.

Entrepreneurship Development Cell of JBCCCC organiseded a 15 day training programme on dedsigner candle making from 12th March to 27th March. The resource person was Mrs. Sipra Sinha Das. The participants conducted an exhibition of the products they had prepared in the workshop under the guidance of the resource person. 23. Extension Acivities during the period: A talk programme on "Women and health : Stress and related Issues" was organized by JBCWC commemorating International Womens' Day on 10th March,2015.

A new initiative programme was taken on "Free Classroom Teaching" by JBCWC in May,2015, In this programme lectures were delivered to class IX and X of Tarajan High School,Jorhat, lectures were delivered by Utpala Bhaskar , Santana Dutta , Pranami Bania , Nibedita Bezbaruah , Papumoni Hazarika , Jolly Borthakur , Jyotirekha Hazarika , Nirmala Das.

A group project on 'Health, Educational status and working conditions of women labourers of the garden: A Study of selected Tea Gardens of Jorhat' is initiated by JbCWC in collaboration with Rotary Club, Jorhat. Dr.Binapani Devi is the principal investigator for the project. 24. Sports Facilities provided during the period: Games and sports facilities are available in the college. An indoor stadium with all kinds of modern facilities is the special feature of the institution. A gym facility with latest equipments for students and teachers is provided by the college. 25. Any other important achievement(s) not covered above Green Plus Society of the Botany Department instituted a new body of executive members for the period January 2015 to June 2016. A Bike Rally cum Environment Awareness Camp was held on the 19th and 20th March, 2015. Altogether 64 participants consisting 8 teachers,18 staff,6 guests and 32 student took in this event. The Rally started from the College premise and marked its destination upto Kaziranga National Park. An attraction for this event was Mr. Jadav Payeng , Forest Man of India who inaugurated the programme.

The Society for English Studies (SES) organised a day long poetry festival 'Cornucopia' on 26th March,2015. It started with deliberation on translating poetry by Dr. Binod Gogoi, Senior Scientist(retd.) NEIST. This is followed by young poets both within and outside J.B.College.
