Later editions were on different colored paper sleeves and produced by request, and is evidenced by a variety of years marked on them noting when purchased. 1st edition all marked 2001. Gira offered this additional 're-pressing' briefly with other handmade solo releases, those being not numbered unlike the first editions or numbered with an end point greater than the initial edition. For example, the re-press of I Am Singing To You From My Room ends at 2,000, wheres the originals end at 1,000. A collection composed primarily of home recordings by Michael Gira; tracks 11 and 12 respectively are a rare live recording and a studio outtake from the Angels of Light's first album. -

Cone Concert Series Saturday, November 21, 2020 8:00 p.m. ET MATTHEW SHIPP PROGRAM THE PIANO EQUATION Matthew Shipp Funding for this concert is provided by the Edward T. Cone Endowment and a grant from the PNC Foundation. ABOUT THE MUSIC David Lang writes: Over the summer I asked Matthew Shipp if he would like to play for us the music from his recent recording The Piano Equation. This album came out towards the beginning of the pandemic and I found myself listening to it over and over—its unhurried wandering and unpredictable changes of pace and energy made it a welcome, thoughtful accompaniment to the lockdown. My official COVID soundtrack. Matthew agreed, but he warned me that what he would play might not sound too much like what I had heard on the recording. This music is improvised, which means that it is different every time. And of course, that is one of the reasons why I am interested in sharing it on our season. We have been grouping concerts under the broad heading of ‘virtuosity’–how music can be designed so that we watch and hear a musical problem being overcome, right before our eyes and ears. Improvisation is a virtuosity all its own, a virtuosity of imagination, of flexibility, of spontaneity. -

Streams & Currents
Streams & Currents Wireless Network Sonication and other works Jonáš Gruska Bachelor’s Thesis Institute of Sonology Abstract First and main topic of this thesis is a concept of sonication and its various sub- methods. It deals with few examples of the signicant works from the area and it is presenting a specic division of the sonication into a scientic and an artistic world. Second topic is my own artistic work, which partly overlaps with sonica- tion, but also reaches towards site-specic audio-visual installations, compositions based on a auditory illusions and the minimalistic gallery performances. Acknowledgements I would like to thank my parents for supporting me during my studies. I would never be able to learn what I love without them. And of course, I would like to thank my mentor Paul Berg for his patience with my chaotic behavior and the whole Institute of Sonology for helping me to become who I want to be. Lastly, I would like to thank Janka Kobolková, Marko Uzunovski, Xavier De Wannemaeker, Maya Verlaak, Daniel Tóth, Peter Sych, Marek Chołoniewski and all my other friends in supporting me in my work, inspiring and pushing me forward. My special thanks go to Marek Slobodník, Norman Teale and Agnes Szelang for helping me with my language. 3 Contents 1 Introduction5 2 Sonication and audication experiments7 2.1 Thoughts on current state of sonication..............7 2.2 Wireless Network Sonication................... 16 2.3 City Attributes Sonication..................... 26 3 Other works 29 3.1 Binmatu............................... 29 3.2 Phasolume.............................. 36 3.3 Site Specic Resonances...................... 40 4 Conclusion 45 References 47 A List of selected performances, exhibitions, workshops and lectures 49 B List of links to my projects 52 4 Chapter 1 Introduction My work has never focused on single topic, yet there are connecting traits in all of it. -

Tesi Del Dott. Jacopo Conti: Minimalismo ... -.:: Franco Fabbri
1 PREMESSA “King Crimson was more a revolving door than a band. -
