As such, the Federation saw the increased need to ensure that proper structures, policies and procedures are put in place to ensure fair selection processes are established as we move forward. The Government of Trinidad and Tobago has identified cycling as one of the fourteen sporting activities that is to receive special support over the short and medium terms. The sport therefore, has the potential to benefit from this recognition and the formulation and proper documentation of policies and procedures within the fraternity is one important step in capitalizing on the opportunity present themselves. The TTCF has recognized the need for formulating this policy and has initiated this effort to prepare and document it.

The ALBA Bloc was started by the Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez, as an alternative to the proposed Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA), in 2004. Its main objective is to counter United States hegemony in Latin America. It started off as a trade agreement between Cuba and Venezuela and has grown to include the following members: Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Dominica, Ecuador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

    Report on 2019 WT Anti-Doping Main Activities Provision of an adequate budget for Anti-Doping Programs: The provision of an adequate budget was one the key elements that allowed WT to make in place all the 2019's implementations. WT leadership adhered to the proposal of the Anti-Doping Director and gave him the resources to implement all policies. WT Anti-Doping Program Commitments and Goals: Sport cannot exist without fairness, and WADA sets the most stringent standards when it comes to detecting the most insidious form of cheating – doping. WT is grateful for the support we have received from WADA to bring our standards to the highest level. In 2016 we participated in the WADA “Partnership to Quality” program. The consulting WADA provided then allowed us to fill in the gaps in our systems. In March 2018, we were gratified to be one of the first International Federations to be declared compliant under WADA’s compliance-review program. WT recognizes the importance of maintaining clean sport: in 2017, we increased our anti-doping budget ten-fold. Since beginning of 2017 WT entered a partnership with GAISF Doping Free Sport Unit, which offers us expertise and technologies as we create intelligent and effective anti-doping program. From 2018 we have been cooperating with the International Testing Agency (ITA) in a new and productive collaboration. Thanks to our investments, the number of players we are testing per year has tripled since 2017 for In and Out Of Competition Tests. Our testing criteria change in every competition, in order to be unpredictable.

Ochenta y cuatro arqueros de diecisiete países dispararon en una magnifica instalación con una impresionante cobertura televisiva. Un Récord Mundial, el único entre todos los deportes en los Juegos, y nuevos récords para los Juegos Panamericanos en todos los eventos, fueron algunos de los resultados más relevantes en el torneo de tiro con arco en la capital peruana, Celebramos una exitosa Asamblea General en el marco de los Juegos, en la que aprobamos nuestro calendario de Eventos de Ranking Mundial para el año 2020, y revisamos los preparativos de los Campeonatos Panamericanos y Parapan Americanos a realizarse en Monterrey, y de la primera parada de la Copa Mundial Hyundai que tendrá lugar en Guatemala. Nuestro Comité Ejecutivo se reunió, además, con funcionarios de ODECABE y de Pan Am Sports para analizar un aumento en los cupos para los Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe Panamá 2022, así como la posibilidad de llevar a cabo campamentos de entrenamiento para nuestros arqueros en el año 2020. Aprovecho la oportunidad para felicitar a todos los participantes en Lima, tanto a aquellos que ganaron medallas y cupos olímpicos, como a los que no lo lograron. Quiero decir “Felicitaciones”, además, a nuestros cadetes y juveniles que compitieron en al Campeonato Mundial de estas categorías en Madrid, y obtuvieron medallas, establecieron récords y se colocaron en destacadas posiciones. Nos queda en evento más de Ranking Mundial en América en al año 2019.
