Set against the backdrop of Peru’s capital city, the Lima conference featured a timely and relevant program to keep attendees informed of the latest in emerging gaming issues and technologies. IMGL is pleased to be holding its Spring 2016 conference in San Francisco, California — a city that needs no introduction. Like Los Angeles and New York, this city already enjoys international renown for everything from its sightseeing to shopping to entertainment. This conference offers our delegates a variety of sessions on diverse topics of discussion, including: Daily Fantasy Sports, eSports Betting, Skill Based/Hybrid Gaming in relation to new regulations being offered, Cardrooms, Tribal Gaming, and more. Many of our attendees and speakers are traveling from international destinations to participate in this conference — and the speakers on our panels represent the best in the gaming industry —from gaming regulators to industry executives. Our conference headquarters, the luxurious Fairmont San Francisco hotel on historic Nob Hill, puts us just a short cable car trip from San Francisco’s bustling downtown, financial district, Union Square, and Fisherman’s Wharf. In fact, the Fairmont San Francisco is the only spot where all of the city’s cable car lines meet. With its numerous hills and spectacular bay, San Francisco entrances visitors with its natural beauty, vivacious neighborhoods, and infectious liveliness. This dynamic town thrives on variety, and makes it easy to tap into the good life, too: between San Francisco’s arts scene, boutiques, beautiful parks perfect for jogging or biking, and all those stellar restaurants and cocktail bars, it’s the ultimate destination spot. Popular San Francisco attractions include museums, theaters and destination neighborhoods like Chinatown, Union Square, and Fisherman’s Wharf. One way to see the city in all its glory is to book a double-decker bus tour of the city, cruise out to Alcatraz, or head over to see Sausalito and the giant redwoods of Muir Woods. Other favorite day trips include a drive to the superb and popular wineries in Napa and Sonoma. We look forward to seeing you personally while you are at the conference, and hope that you have an opportunity to learn from the conference sessions, network with old friends and new, and enjoy what the city of San Francisco has to offer. We also extend a big thank you to IMGL’s Spring Conference Program Committee and the many individuals who have helped make this conference a success.
