Please release a press note in this regard to all the News papers, Electronic media and T.V. Channels etc Commandant SAR-CPL, Amberpet Hyderabad. NOTE ON MEETING WITH FM RADIO REPRESENTATIVES HELD ON 07-12-2019 AT CP’S CONFERENCE HALL, HYDERABAD In the last couple of years, Hyderabad City has taken lot of initiatives with regard to the safety and security of citizens. The priority is given to the Women, Children and to the elder people. In the wake of recent incident in Cyberabad has created a high discussion on the safety and security of Women. Every heinous / gruesome crime makes our determination stronger to fight to prevent and incase no prevention to deter and ensure that all the perpetrators of the crimes are brought to hook following the due process of law. As said by the Sir, Robert Peel the policing is in two ways process, that a successful society in which every citizen feels that he is a policeman and every police man feels that he is a citizen. As far as prevention of crime is concerned role of a citizen and a role of a policeman is that of a partnership. I would like to draw the attention of my beloved citizens of Hyderabad that some of you must have heard of some this called broke window theory, which is a very important concept which can be applied to everything. In early 90s of the last century New York Police very successfully implemented this Broke Window Theory. It is so happened that some of the suburb areas of England, Children and hooligans sometimes used to pelt stones on the buildings which are isolated with are neglected and the window panes got damaged. Now second day when another group of hooligans come they used to see that in these buildings two to three window panes are broken, so they used to throw more stones. So the summary is that a building which gives the impression that it is neglected, a building which gives the impression that it is already been attacked, others also attacks it is called Broken Window. Now the solution to that was that the first window which is broken it should be repaired immediately, that the next gang of the hooligans would not see anything. This applies to criminal intelligence system and maintenance of law and order in the city. Instead of telling a girl to don’t wear this, don’t go out at this time, don’t do like that. This is not the correct method, every girl and every women has the fundamental right to wear what she wants and where ever she wants to go, it is the duty of our society to provide the safety and security, rather we should teach the boy and the men to know and learn what to do and what not to do, therefore clarity begins at home, the first lesson has to come by parents where he notices that a boy is giving a dirty look to a girl or a boy is getting deviated from his studies and seeing a porn sites or other things on internet. Who will detect these things, these things has to be detected by the family, by the teachers in the school, role of police will come only when they come out of the domain of their family. Inside the family, family bond is more important than policing. You do not except that policeman do not enters inside you home to see how are your children, that is the responsibility inside your home to see how are your children, that is the responsibility of the family system. Similarly you don’t except a police to enter into a school to see what is happening there, how is moral conduct of the boy and girl there, it is the responsibility of the parents and the teacher. So whatever the crimes comes out particularly the heinous crimes we must find out the root cause, we have to hit the root and not the fruits, we have to see that the roots are dried up. What fuels these things we have to check that, it is the collective responsibility of the society, don’t you feel that it is the responsibility of the TV, Movies makers for ever small advertisement they have to commodify a female body, if they have to sell a motor car they show female first, if they have to sell even a blade they have to show a women’s body first, it is high time that there is an awareness created in the society not to treat women as an object, they are equal partners in each and every thing, the society has developed if all of us have come to this level of development it is because of equal partnership by women and men. There is no field where participation of women is less. It is so delighted to read that now women are even joining as Navy Pilot, which is a big task but each one of us have to play an important role. I always believe that a true policeman is who sees what is happening at all the places and the true citizen is one who feels that he and she has responsibility in preventing these crimes. Hyderabad is one of the safest city in India. One sensational crime has definitely brought lot of topic of discussion, but over all I could still say that Hyderabad is the safest city in India and that is why it is bringing all the investments. Recently there was an article published by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) that also has suggested that Hyderabad is one of the safest city for the women in India. When we talk about the safety of women and citizens. Hyderabad Police has very robust system of dial 100 supported by a network of Patrol Cars we have 122 Patrol cars moving on the streets of Hyderabda moving 24 hours a day 7 days a week 12 months a year. This supported by more than 400 blue colt motor cycle patrol which also covers each and every lane and by lane where some times bigger cars cannot go. There is a technology background behind this. Right from the time of a call landed at dial 100 command control and from there it goes to the nearest patrol car, blue colt, nearest PS. Till the time the work is done we monitor it very closely and our average response time is 8 to 10 minutes. We receive more than 450 calls a day, some of the calls are also prank calls some of the calls are calls which also do not require our attention but still we attend it i.e., why I appeal to each one of you that Govt. has spend so much money on this infrastructure this in for you, the citizens so please use it. The moment you feel uncomfortable any kind of fear dial 100 we are there with you. I will also like to mention here that an application called Hawk eye is available on internet, you can download on the android or on the IOS cell phones, Hawk eye is a bundle of application and the most important application is that is SOS there is the red button the moment you press the red button, five messages will go automatically to the nearest PS, Patrol Car, BC vehicle and DCP office and if you want you can also send it to your family members. I request you to get self- registered, more than 4 lakh people are already registered with Haw Eye. I request that each and every citizen of Hyderabad should get registered and feel safe about it. Just yesterday a meeting was conducted with Cab owners Ola, Uber and all Cabs who were requested to have certain security measures, verification of the driver and we are coordinating that help us to make Hyderabad More Safe and Secure and More Happy. Dial 100 can be called from any phone; I still say that the dial 100 is the most assured safety method. If you do not have smart phone then you cannot access Hawk eye application but dial 100 is available 24 hours every minute of the day.

  • Urban Mass Transit System for Hyderabad-A
XIII Retour au URBAN MASS TRANSIT SYSTEM FOR HYDERABAD: A sommaire COMPARISON OF MMTS AND METRO Back to menu SATYAM SHIVAM SUNDARAM [email protected] G RAGHURAM [email protected] ABSTRACT: Most of the cities have been struggling to provide adequate transport infrastructure to meet increasing travel demand and moderate the growth of personalized vehicles. Hyderabad is no exception where the two alternative transport systems, MMTS (Multi-Modal Transport System) and Metro, were discussed by various stakeholders over the years. This paper examines the relative strengths and weaknesses of the two proposals. The parameters used to compare the two are similar to those presented in earlier research studies (e.g. Advani & Tiwari, 2005). The parameters include accessibility (influence zone of the proposed system and distance between two consecutive stations), demand profile and socio-economic status of commuters, reliability, speed, frequency, current and future capacities of the proposed system, level of integration with other modes, parking area at the station, level of economic/financial gain, and implementation difficulties (e.g. land acquisition issues and number of institutions involved in coordination during planning and operation). These parameters broadly represent the major demand and supply side issues which affect the transport system and hence play a critical role in decision making. The paper concludes that though MMTS, with feeder services, may have provided nearly similar services to that of the metro with lower costs and less land acquisition issues, some factors such as coordination among institutions, integration, lack of commitment from private parties for resources due to higher perceived risk, inertia of organizations involved in the development of MMTS, and perceived status of a metro project vis à vis MMTS may have favored the metro proposal.
