Lenin The figure of Lenin is undoubtedly one of the most prom- inent of our century. The architect of the October 1917 rev- olution, the founder of the Soviet state, an inspiration to countless revolutionaries throughout the world over this last ~century , his actions and writings have left a deeper mark than perhaps any other man in recent history.
