January 30, “Astounding Inventions” Competition This popular science contest features ingenious gadgets made by kindergarten through eighth grade students. Young inventors will present inventions that they have conceived and crafted on their own. The students will compete for $10,000 in cash prizes, certificates of achievement and ribbons. This is an excellent race and venue to start the New Year off You must go to the sign-ups with a “Smooth Puss” (clean with your fitness regimen and to prepare for other races shaven) and ready to be photographed for the “Most Wanted” during the year. There will be a half marathon, an 18 mile poster. You then have 8 weeks to grow a beard or moustache race, a 5k, and a 1 mile kid’s fun run.
