Organisations offering free or reduced-price meals during half term, if you and your family are struggling. Guru Coffee House: We will be offering a free lunch bag to any child who needs it. Please come in if you are in need. If you know of any schools or community centres that need our support please email us [email protected] or call us on 01452 532827 Roots Cafe: The cafe in Alvin Street, Gloucester is offering a sandwich, crisps, a cookie, a drink and fruit at a reduced cost. Coopers Edge Community Centre: The Freezer of Love in the Cafe area is full of meals you can just pick up and take. It is Pay As You Feel, so if money is tight, the centre says please just enjoy the food! Drop them a message via Facebook for access to the freezer. The Community Club Tuffley: We are asking for £1 donations to be left via our kindness board. It means we can offer children a hot meal for free during half term. There is also a store cupboard essentials available free of charge, please just contact us. Gloucester Helping Hands: We are here to support anyone in need. Please contact us directly – 07725 365 179 Ridgeway Facades: We have fifty £10 vouchers for a local supermarket that can be emailed or collected to those that need them most this half term. Please email [email protected] The Long Table: If you are struggling to feed yourself or your family, you can ring The Long Table and request discounted or free meals delivered to your door. Call 01594 715785 or email [email protected] Three Oaks, Robinswood: Children eat for free during half term Friends of Elmbridge: We offer support to children in Longlevens and Elmbridge in the form of vouchers. More details on our Facebook page. Gloucestershire County Council: Every child in Gloucestershire who is entitled to a free school meal, will be helped this half-term. Parents and carers simply need to call 01452 328518, give their child’s name and a food voucher code will be sent direct to their mobile. Gloucestershire’s Community Help Hub: The hub is a collaboration between all local councils, police and health services.
