ANNABELLE GAMSON CELEBRATES AT BAM

For her upcoming season in the Helen Carey Playhouse at BAM, Annabelle Gamson will offer a special program to commemorate the one-hundredth anniversary of the birth of Isadora Duncan, on Friday, January 13, at 8pm, and Sunday, January 15, at 2pm. Ms. Gamson's other program, on Thursday, January 12, at 7:30pm, and Saturday, January 14, at 8pm, will feature three Duncan , as well as two dances by , and three pieces by Ms. Gamson, including the premiere of a new work, DANCES OF DEATH, set to the music of Dmitri Shostakovich. Annabelle Gamson is well known in the world for her pioneering work in reconstructing the solo dances of giants Isadora Duncan and Mary Wigman, as well as creating her own . Ms. Gamson has appeared at the American Dance Festival, the Dance Umbrella, Jacob's Pillow, and the Spoleto Festival U.S. A. Ms. Gamson was recently featured in a NET "Dance In America" program entitled "Trailblazers in Modern Dance". ###
