Boys Division I: Glenville won its second straig ht title and 12th overall when its 80 points set a boys record for all divisions. Reynoldsburg was a distant second with 30. The Tarblooders were led by senior Ted Ginn Jr., who defended his title in the 110 hurdles in a tournament record time of 13.40; won the 200; was on the winning 4x400 relay, and placed second in the 400. Ginn’s time of 13.26 in the 110 hurdles semifinals would have set a state mark but did not qualify for a record since the time was wind-aided. Also winning a championship for Glenville was the 4x100 relay. The Tarblooders’ 12th championship trails boys’ all-time leader Cleveland East Tech by one. Also in the division, Trotwood-Madison senior Zach Logan won his second 400 title in three years w hen he edged Ginn, and Middletown junior Jeff See defended his title in the 1,600. Boys Division II: Shelby won its second straight title and second overall when it had 41 points to edge Sandusky Perkins, which had 34.

    NAGEL, Andrew J. Nagel (Abstracted from Schlosser Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, Ohio, 25 March 2016) Andrew J. “Andy” Nagel went to be with our Lord on March 25, 2016. He was born June 12, 1963 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima to Mona and Paul Nagel who preceded him in death. On May 22, 1998 Andrew married Cynthia Diane Garver and she survives. He is also survived by three children: Brooke (Chris) Folk of Wapakoneta, Brent Nagel of Columbus, Ryan (Christine) Nagel of Canton MI; three stepsons Michael Miller of Columbus, John Miller and Nick Miller of Columbus Grove; 4 grandchildren Laney Folk, Alexandra Folk, Natalee Folk, and Rowan Folk: six brothers and sisters; Bridget (Mark) Weller, Charles (Nancy Morris) Nagel, Hans Nagel, Priscilla (Richard) Evans, Gretchen (Richard) Sheely and Eric Nagel all of Wapakoneta. Andrew graduated in 1981 from Wapakoneta High School then graduated from Lima Technical College in Radiology Technology. Andrew worked at St. Rita’s Medical Center and Riverside Methodist Hospital specializing in cardiovascular & interventional radiology. He enjoyed spending time with family & friends, hunting, fishing, staying fit and many various sporting activities. Stephanie Albers plans to major in Accounting and Finance at Miami University. She is the daughter of David and Marcie Albers of Sidney. Stephanie was involved in Tennis, Band, Academia Team, Class Vice President, School Musical, Pro-Lifeguards, Stock Club, Student Ambassador, SAAC, and Teen Business Leaders Club. Some of her honors and/or awards include First Honors, National Honor Society, Top Accounting I Student, Science Fair Awards, President’s Award for Educational Excellence. Ms. Albers participated in National Young Leaders Conference, OCTM State Tournament of Mathematics, Social Studies Shootout, Homecoming and Prom Courts, and Big Buddies. Brad Borchers, son of Jacque and Kathy Borchers, is a Minster native. Borchers plans to major in Business at the University of Dayton. He was involved in Golf and Basketball.
