Søren Pedersen Formand På Bornholm tog vores medlem René Westh initia- tiv til et arrangement den 17. maj, hvor det lykkedes at få Brian ’Licorice’ Locking til at tage den lange rejse fra Wales for at deltage. 2007 var et banebrydende år for klubben, hvor vi Generalforsamling & Træf fik afholdt vores første ShadowDania, og på samme 30/3 – 2008 måde er 2008 et specielt år, idet Cliff Richard og i Nyborg The Shadows kan fejre deres 50 års jubilæum. Vi har valgt at markere den begivenhed den 6. sep- tember sammen med Cliff Richard fan klubben ’Stronger’ med et arrangement, som vi kalder ’Cliff & ShadowsDania 1958-2008, 50 years Celebra- tion Show’ . Et arrangement med et rigtigt flot pro- gram med hele 6 bands på scenen foruden Brian ’Licorice’ Locking, som da jeg talte med ham for et par uger siden, fortalte at han glædede sig rigtig meget til at komme til Nyborg igen, og hvor jeg kun kunne sige at det var gensidigt, idet vi også glæder os til at opleve ham på scenen i Nyborg igen, med Kære venner… hans gode humør der når helt ned til de bageste rækker i salen. Så er generalforsamling og træf vel overstået. Ventetiden klarede Niels Egelund, som ellers var sidst på programmet. Frisk som altid gik Niels på scenen. Kl. 12.oo bød formand Søren Pedersen velkommen. ..og straks var der Shadows-stemning. Det blev også til en skøn duet med Ove Nielsen i et fantastisk Shadows-medley. Første punkt på dagsordnen var valg af dirigent og referent. Dirigent blev Knud Brix og som referent blev Hen- ning Duch valgt. Herefter fremlagde formand Søren Pedersen, besty- relsens beretning. Det fremgik af denne, at det har været et godt år, med stadig flere nye medlemmer. Så kom turen til kasserer Jesper Vang-Busch, som fremlagde et regnskab som blev godkendt. Så var det tid til musik… Herligt at opleve disse 2 gutter og deres fantastiske Guitarspil. Vi skulle have startet med Sound of The Shadows, men de blev forsinkede pga. den kraftige blæst på Storebæltsbroen, der af den grund var spærret for 4 I mellemtiden var Sound of The Shadows dukket op og fik på rekordtid, stillet anlæg op og gik på sce- nen. Arne Østergaard eller Brian Bennet ?..forskellen var svær at høre. Efter en flot optræden af Sound of The shadows, Der var igen i år rift om CDer, DVDer, bøger osv. kom turen til Flingel Bunt. Fuld fart på fra start… Ja.. og mad og drikke skal der også til… Det blev et sæt med alle de kendte Shadowstoner samt lidt swing og blues. Det blev også til et par fremragende vokalnumre fra Ove Nielsens side. Ove ”advarede” publikum forinden og sagde, at det var altså ikke for at publikum skulle gå hjem, hvil- ket at de da heller ikke gjorde. Flingel Bunt leverede en forrygende udgave af Litt- le B, hvor Arne Østergaard imponerede med en fan- tastisk trommesolo, som udløste et stående bifald fra publikum. Flingel Bunt kan opleves igen ved Cliff & ShadowsDania i Nyborg d. 6. September. 5 Der blev studeret guitarer… ..Og hygget… Dagen sluttede omkring kl. 17.oo, hvor Ove Nielsen Der blev lyttet intenst til den gode musik. gjorde opmærksom på, at der var samlet 2,50 kr. ind til et ekstranummer. Det blev til et Rock`n Roll-medley med Flingel Bunt der fik salen til at ose af 60er-stemning og publikum sang og rockede med på de kendte toner. Der blev snakket… Palle 6 Shadowsfestival i Greve d. 26. april Der var lagt op til en rigtig hyggelig dag med mas- ser af god musik på ….. restaurant i Greve Allerede midt i Marts var der udsolgt til showet … Det blev en stor oplevelse for de 130 personer, som var hurtige nok til at bestille billetter. Publikum begyndte allerede at indfinde sig kl.15.00. Showet startede kl. 16.00, hvor Knud Brix, som var arrangør af dette flotte arrangement, bød velkom- men og takkede de optrædende for at de ville stille op til dette show. …Og straks var den rette Shadowsstemning til ste- de. Velkendte Shadowstoner samt numre med Cliff, fik folk op på mærkerne. Så gik JOHNNY WINSLØW på scenen…. Første band på scenen var SOUND OF SHA- DOWS, som i dagens anledning havde fået hjælp af Jesper Vang-Busch, som senere også kunne opleves i bandet MEMORY LANE. …Som til stor glæde for de fremmødte gæster fra CLIFF-klubben ”STRONGER”. 7 Efter middagen kom turen til MEMORY LANE… …bl.a. leverede flere af de kendte Cliff-numre. Så var det tid til at spise…. Memory Lane tog os på en tur tilbage til de glade Under middagen underholdt Knud Brix med bløde 60er. Her fik bl.a. det velkendte Clifftersnummer Shadowstoner. ”Django” samt et af de sjældne vokalnumre med The Shadows – ”Don`t make my baby blue” Dagen sluttede med MOONLIGHT SHADOWS ….

I had been driving all night, for I hadn't been able to sleep at the motel so I thought I might as well drive and I arrived among the mountains and hills near Ketchum and Sun Valley just as the sun carne up and I was glad I had kept busy with driving. I drove into the town itself without looking up at that one hill. I was afraid if I looked at it, I would make a mistake. It was very important not to look at the grave. At least that is how I felt. And I had to go on my hunch. I parked the truck in front of an old saloon and walked around the town and talked to a few people and breathed the air and it was sweet and clear. I found a young hunter, but he was wrong; I knew that after talking to him for a few minutes. I found a very old man, but he was no better. Then I found me a hunter about fifty, and he was just right.

The firm operated in Sedalia, Missouri, from the early 1870s into the 1960s, publishing sheet music and a monthly magazine, Perry's Musical Magazine, which was issued from 1881 until the 1960s. After A.W. Perry's death, the firm was continued by his two sons, Andrew J. (d. 1945) and Philip B. (1859-1953). Andrew Perry managed the publishing operations and the retail store in Sedalia, while Philip supplied compositions from his Kansas City residence.
