451. BLACK SEA-AYANCIK PIER

The poles of the Ayancık Pier, in position 41°56'.90K, 34°34'.40D are broken and the pier is unusable and dangerous for ships to moor. All ships intend to use Ayancık Pier shall contact the Harbour Master of Ayancık.

1. For the piracy activities in the Gulf of Aden, Somalia, the following warning message is issued by the NATO warships navigating in the region in VHF Channel 16:

It includes the NAVIGATIONAL WARNINGS currently in force submitted to NAVAREA III Area Coordinator from 18 January 2011 to 25 January 2011 1300 Z. Local Notices to Mariners submitted to NAVAREAIII Area coordinator are not included in this section in order to avoid duplication. They have been promulgated in Part III with a National NAVTEX number.

Navigational Warnings :

2010 SERIES

016. LEBANON

United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL) -Maritime Task Force (MTF), is monitoring the Merchant Traffic navigating towards Lebanese Ports or transiting inside the Lebanese Territorial Waters. The UNIFIL-MTF is acting in accordance with the United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR)1701.Ships approaching the Lebanese Territorial Waters are to be ready to answer UN warships' hailing and to be controlled in application of the above mentioned (UNSCR)1701.Ships planning to enter Lebanese Territorial Waters are to make sure that their agents in Lebanon inform the appropriate LebaneseAuthorities about their intended arrival.

CORRIDORS, RULES AND REQUIREMENT Four entry/transiting corridors have been established within the LebaneseTerritorialWaters:

1-Access to Tripoli Port: entry point 34º30´N 35º31´E, course 090 towards Tripoli breakwaters.

2-Access to Beirut Port: entry point 33º54´N 35º13´E, course 090 towards Beirut breakwaters.

3-Access to Saida Port: entry point 33º34´N 35º08´E, course 090 towards Saida breakwaters.

4- Coastal corridor: along the coastline, 3NM from the shoreline, to be used by the merchant traffic between Lebanese port. Merchant vessels using these corridors are to adhere to the following rules, at all time: A- Any merchant vessel leading to one of the three above mentioned ports shall navigate to their destination using the indicated corridor until a distance of 3NM from the shore. From this point, they shall head to the port entrance. B- Any merchant vessel departing a Lebanese Port and leading to any other Lebanese port shall navigate along the Lebanese coast using the coastal corridor until the port of destination entrance. C- When departing from any Lebanese port and leaving the Lebanese territorial waters, all ships shall assume course 270 (as safe navigation allows).

Notice No.:03/11 6.1 HYDROGRAPHIC MEMORANDUM

1. The following issues affecting safety at sea and navigation should be notified to the Office of Navigation, Hydrography and Oceanography according to the Navigation and Hydrography Services law numbered 1738 published in the Official Gazette dated June 07, 1973 and numbered 14557.All mariners are requested to cooperate in this activity for the safety of life and property.

a. Changes, additions and discrepancies between published items and the conditions actually observed. ( For example new wharf, pier, mole, sea filling, wreck, outfall and intake, new lighthouse, buoy establishment, sweeping, fisherman shelter, marina, pool, pontoon, harbour launch, dolphin, marine farm etc.)

b. Changes of depth determined / reported within the limits of the harbour.

c. Differences between the coast view in approaches to the port and the charts and guide books.

d. Shape and colour discrepancies between the actual beacon and mooring buoys and the ones in the charts and nautical publications.

e. Discrepancies between the beacon buoys, lights and fog signals and the charts and nautical publications

f. Dangerous floating objects.

g. Other issues necessary to be reported.

2. The largest scale chart should be used and a sketch (if possible) should be forwarded while reporting the issues above.

3. The brand mark and model of the echo sounder equipment used while fixing the changes of depths need to be indicated and the sounding paper need to be forwarded.

4. The datum of the coordinate ( ED50, WGS84, PULKOVO 1942 etc) need to be indicated when notifying the coordinates of the discrepancies for the precision.
