Downtown Atlanta Hotels CASA Day at the Capitol February 13, 2020 **Information current as of January 31st** Rates below are regular/flexible. If you have AAA/AARP or Government accounts, you may be able to stay at these properties, or others in the area, for lower rates. Prices below do not include taxes or parking. This list is not exhaustive, and there are a variety of hotels, chains, etc. in the vicinity. Please keep in mind that rates often fluctuate daily. Properties listed from closest to furthest away from the Capitol. • Fairfield Inn & Suites Atlanta Downtown o 54 Peachtree Street, SW o Prepaid $117, Regular $156 o While this is in closest proximity to the Capitol, it is in the Five Points/Underground Atlanta portion of downtown. (I have never personally stayed here, but CASA directors stayed here in the last several years for CASA Day at the Capitol and felt it was safe and very convenient.) o http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/atlus-fairfield-inn-and-suites-atlanta-downtown/ • Glenn Hotel o 110 Marietta St, NW o Prepaid $166, Regular $195 o This is a beautiful hotel, convenient to the Georgia CASA Office and the Depot. It is located within one block of our office. o http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/atlak-glenn-hotel-autograph-collection/ • Sheraton Atlanta Hotel o 165 Courtland Street o Prepaid $96, Regular $114 o Located in convention-hotel section of downtown, it’s right on Courtland, and an easy, quick drive to the Capitol area. (The rate is currently very low because the hotel is recovering from a health scare in July 2019. All issues have been remediated and the hotel cleared by appropriate health agencies as long ago as August 2019 but the public image has not rebounded.) o http://www.sheratonatlantahotel.com/ • Hilton Atlanta o 255 Courtland Street o NO ROOMS AVAILABLE o Located in convention-hotel section of downtown, just north of the Sheraton, it’s right on Courtland, and an easy, quick drive to the Capitol area. o http://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/georgia/hilton-atlanta-ATLAHHH/index.html • Embassy Suites at Centennial Olympic Park o 267 Marietta Street o Prepaid $152, Regular $179 o Located in the CNN/Centennial Park area of downtown, it’s an easy 5 minute drive to the Capitol area. o http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/atlmq-atlanta-marriott-marquis/ We have previously stayed at the Ramada Plaza Atlanta Downtown, located on 450 Capitol Ave, but it was a number of years ago when the property was a Holiday Inn and wouldn’t recommend this property based on prior experiences. Also, while geographically close, the traffic is congested, and it is difficult to make it the few blocks north to the capitol. .
