Utal1wattla Old Boys' Association Employment Scheme AN APPEAL TO ALL OLD BOY EMPLOYERS AND EMPLOYEES The Hutchz'?ZS Scltool Old Boys' Association is desirous of getti1zg into touch with Old Boy employers, who from time to time have vctCancies in tluir busittess, witlt a view to asking tltem to give Old Boys the opportunity of the first refusal. A committee Itrls been formed, cottsisti'ng of the President of the AssNiatiolt, the Headmaster and the Bursar, for the purpose of bringilt,l{ together Old Boy emplo)!ers and emplo)'Ces, and this can only be done by the mutual co-operation of botlz. The Committee, tlzerefore, appeals to employers to ttottfy anyone of its members of a vacancy in their employment. Any such notification will receive immediate attention from the Committee, who will at once recommmd Old Boys suitable for the position. The Committee also requests Old Boys out of employ­ ment to send in tlzelr full names, ages, addresses, telephone m~mbers and quali/itatio?ZS to them. A careful register will be kept of these particulars and every endeavour will be made to place applicants in positions. The Committee eartzestly appeals to all Old Boys to co-operate witlz the Sclzool in this scheme, which will tlOt only prove of mzttual assistatlce to Old Boys but will eon tribute mutually to tlze welfare of the School as a whole. SINCE its inauguration many years ago, the Hutchins School Magazine has been produced entirely by members of the R. H. Isherwood P. P. McC. Fergusson, Dip. Fr. (Paris) teaching staff. The senior English master usually wrote the R. S.Waring, B.A., Dip. Ed. E. H. Stephens editorial, and gradually the task of producing the whole Maga­ zine fell upon his shoulders. TV. J. Miss Frizoni never offered any position of responsibility, and consequently they lost interest in a magazine which they felt was not their PREFECTS own. Williams It was obvious to all who took an interest in the School generally that some drastic alteration had to be made in the production of the Magazine if it was not eventually to become SPORTS COMMITTEE non-existent owing to the lack of interest shown in it by the Members of the Staff members of the School. Faced with this unpleasant possibility, Mr. Clarke approached the 'Headmaster with the suggestion H. M. Williams D. A. Warner H. R.
