ITINERARY Friday DAY 2 9th September 2022 GOLFERS: OLD HEAD The clifftop links at Old Head sit on a spectacular promontory a few miles from Kinsale in County Cork, Southern Ireland. With 40 acres of un-spoilt cliff framing the course, Old Head is a memorable experience that is quite unlike anything you will have ever encountered A large stone wall and a gate keeper at the narrow entrance to the site ensure that this extraordinary location is reserved exclusively for golfers. More than half the holes feature tees and greens at the edge of 250 feet high cliffs and all 18 holes provide stunning ocean views. With the ever-changing sea breezes this course provides a stern test to golfers at any level. ITINERARY DAY 2 (Continued) NON-GOLFERS: KINSALE WALKING TOUR & HARBOUR CRUISE Originally a medieval fishing port, historic Kinsale (from the Irish, Ceann t Saile – ‘Head of the Sea’) is one of themost picturesque, popular, and historic towns on the south west coast of Ireland. Visitors to Kinsale are captivated by its beautiful setting; its long waterfront, yacht-filled harbour, narrow winding streets and brightly painted galleries, shops, and houses. The impressive fortifications of Charles Fort and James Fort guard the narrow entrance from the sea – giving clues to its rich history. The combination of a walking tour and a harbor cruise provide a wonderful opportunity to appreciate this unique town which has been the centre of Irish History since the first settlers came to Ireland. ITINERARY Saturday DAY 3 10th September 2022 GOLFERS: FOTA ISLAND – DEERPARK COURSE Fota Island Golf Club is in the heart of a stunning 780- acre island woodland estate. The estate is home to splendid mature woodlands where three challenging championship courses are woven throughout. We will play the Deerpark course which is generally regarded as the best and most enjoyable of the three. The Fota Island Deerpark Course, which played host to the Irish Open in 2001, 2002 & 2014, enjoys stunning views across Cork Harbour, as it skirts the coastline. It benefits from an excellent design in a traditional form and features strategically placed pot bunkers and undulating greens. It has a real variety of holes and the outstanding natural landscape never fails to impress. NON-GOLFERS: DAY AT LEISURE A full day at leisure to relax & enjoy the facilities available at the Resort or alternatively take a taxi & explore some of the many attractions in Cork. Overnight: 4* Great Southern Hotel, Killarney Evening: Tonight, Chrissy will host a group Dinner at the Great Southern Hotel ITINERARY Sunday DAY 4 11th September 2022 GOLFERS & NON-GOLFERS: SIGHTSEEING KILLARNEY Thanks to its natural beauty Killarney is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in Ireland. The town is best known for its incredible national park as well as many historic landmarks and attractions. Today we will spend the day exploring the best of Killarney. Killarney Jaunting (Horse & Carriage) Experience Discover the traditional mode of Transport within Ireland through a unique guided tour. It is an excellent option to explore the hidden aspects of Killarney National Park & the Lakes of Killarney. Ring of Kerry Tour & Muckross House The Ring of Kerry is considered one of the finest drives in the world and comprises a 110-mile (180-km) scenic route of narrow roads that wind around the Iveragh Peninsula. Located in a mystical & unspoilt part of Ireland the Ring of Kerry has attracted visitors for centuries. In addition to spectacular scenery, quaint villages, coastal views & ancient heritage we will also visit Muckross House, where Queen Victoria stayed in 1861. The Queen gave six years notice of her visit – plenty of time for the house to be redecorated – and arrived with her own bed and a 100-strong entourage. Over 50 years later, the 19th century house & landscaped gardens are a national treasure to explore. Overnight: 4* Great Southern Hotel, Killarney Evening: Own arrangements ITINERARY Monday DAY 5 12th September 2022 GOLFERS: WATERVILLE GOLF LINKS Golf at Waterville started around 1889 with a modest 9- hole course, laid out on the eastern section of the present course. In the 1950s, the club folded until Jack Mulcahy (an Irish American) bought the links in the late 1960s. Waterville plays on a promontory surrounded by the sea. It is a stunning, remote location with views to the northeast of the Macgillycuddy’s Reeks mountain range and to the southwest across the beautiful Ballinskelligs Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The fairways are gently undulating. The front nine plays across relatively flat ground whilst the back nine weaves its ways through avenues of tall dunes. The view from the elevated 17th tee, an excellent Par 3 called "Murphy's Peak" after the founder Jack Mulcahy, is simply breathtaking.

Wouldn’t it be great if you knew someone who has personally been there to guide you though the experience? For over 40 years, Brendan has been helping travelers plan, book and enjoy their special vacation. Whether it’s on your own, with a guide and a group of like-minded travelers, or a combination of the two, we will help you make it the vacation of your dreams. It starts with your reservation. One of our experts will personally handle all the details, make sure you have the information you need, share ‘insider’ destination secrets and answer your questions. When it comes to Ireland and Britain, my father and I know this part of the world intimately (some would say, better than anybody). My father grew up in Dublin, and I have visited many times, plus we’ve both been to England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales on numerous occasions. We have explored it all, from the famous ‘must see’ sights to little out-of-the-way local favorites. When we design our tours, we do so with the same care and thought that we use for our own personal vacations. Britain and, especially, Ireland hold a very special place in our hearts, and we look forward to sharing them with you. “Taking You Personally” is more than our slogan. It’s the way we want to be treated….so it is the way we want to treat you and every Brendan traveler.
