Tech has posted a 60-56-2 record in season-opening Fri. 11 NC state* 5:30 p.m. games. The last time a Tech season opener was played at home was in 1995, and Sat. 12 NC state* 2 p.m. in the 16 years since, the Hokies have gone 9-7.
