What do we want to do in future? What are the benefits for the area?

We want Purfleet Thames Terminal to be the main focus of Our future plans will make sure the existing 337 jobs stay in our operations on the Thames in future. We are aware that the Purfleet Thames Terminal is not an isolated site – we strive to blend in our operations with Purfleet and the surroundings.

We recognise that neighbours are important and that they must be considered carefully, as shown on the plan. PURFLEET THAMES TERMINAL DRAFT PLANS FOR CONSULTATION PURPOSES AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE 9/ IMPROVING VIEWS FROM PURFLEET CENTRE

The Purfleet Centre regeneration scheme lies to the west of our site. VIEW FROM PURFLEET CENTRE - BEFORE

A small area of land we own (known as the former Paper Mills) crosses into the Purfleet Centre scheme area.

Whilst this land is not suitable for residential development for safety reasons, it is essential to us for increasing the port capacity and enabling the access improvements.

Our design of the new parking deck will seek to improve views to the site from the west. It will therefore also benefit the future plans for Purfleet Centre and create a visual buffer between it and the fuel storage tanks.

We are committed to planting a zone of trees and vegetation that will make an attractive site boundary with ecology benefits.
