4.2 Placements 2 Infrastructure 4 Faculty & Course Curriculum 5 Crowd & Campus Life 5 I am satisfied with college life. Placements: At the UG level, there are no placements for students. However, people from employment exchange comes to visit our college and conduct a seminar with students. I do not have an idea about the salary packages offered in our college. Companies do not visit our college to hire students.

Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 23-Sep-2021. Infrastructure: The department of Anthropology at Bidhannagar College is one of the best in the entire . The infrastructure of our college is very good. Our college provides Wi-Fi, clean classrooms and a huge library. The food served in the college canteen is quite good. Medical facilities are also very good in case of emergencies. There is a huge ground for football behind the college building.

Faculty: Professors in our department are very good and helpful. Their methods of teaching made the subject way more interesting. This course is one of the most important courses necessary for the research and development sector, but our country does not give any attention to that sector. Semester exams are challenging. The pass percentage is 40%.

3.4 Placements 1 Infrastructure 4 Faculty & Course Curriculum 4 Crowd & Campus Life 3 Absolutely satisfied with the department of chemistry. Infrastructure & faculty are really good. Placements: There is no placement cell available in our college. No companies hasn't visited yet offering jobs to us. Though, our chemistry department organised some career & job councelling seminars on job opportunities after M.Sc. In chemistry, but they weren't good enough & pretty boring. No internship is available for meritorious students from college authority. So, if you are searching for a college that have placement facility after M.Sc. In chemistry, our college isn't good for it. Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi isn't available in our college campus. Chemistry laboratory are good but lab maintainers are lazy. Various kinds of lab equipments & reagents are available in our laboratory. Classrooms aren't clean enough & most of the benches are broken. Medical facilities are good. The library has huge collections of various kinds of books & librarians are also very helpful. The departmental library is also very helpful. The seminar hall (with AC) is also pretty big with projectors & speakers. Hostel facility isn't available in our college. The canteen here is closed for most of the days. Foods are costly & the quality is also bad. The college has 2 big playgrounds but both of them remain unused most of the time. The elevators are available only in the new building. NIELIT computer centre is available in our college. The centre provides quality computer training to students. NEET coaching centre is available but it remains unused. Separate bathrooms for Boys & girls are also very clean. Faculty: Our chemistry department has 14 (8 organic,5 inorganic & 1 physical) permanent & 3 (all physical) part-time professors. All of them are well educated & very helpful & kind to

Sometimes, they used projectors to teach us in the classroom. There are more students than professors. We didn't get industry exposure which isn't good. Most of the professors are well experienced, friendly & always available for help. Overall, the course curriculum is very useful.

Other: Every year Annual sports events, Cricket & football matches were organised by the students union. Every year, a musical & dance event called "DHUN" is also organised by students union. We also celebrate Holi, Independence day, Saraswati Puja together in our college. The campus crowd is good. Campus surroundings are also very refreshing. Wi-Fi connectivity is unavailable. The students union is very helpful & never failed to entertain us.

Anonymous | B.Sc. (Hons.) in Anthropology - Batch of 2021 Verified Reviewed on 7 Jul 2021 3.0 Placements 1 Infrastructure 3 Faculty & Course Curriculum 3 Crowd & Campus Life 3 Overall it is an average college, and it depends on the persons to adjust here. Placements: No placement programs are organised by the college for B.Sc Anthropology Hons. Neither placements programs are organised for the current batches as it is an academic course and not a professional course. There is no professional course offered by the college therefore no placement programs are organised. Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is manageable with fine classrooms and labs. The canteen is not good but it is under the process of renovation since 2019 before the coronavirus pandemic situation, and I don't know how much has it changed since then. No hostel facility is provided. It has a very small gym which is mostly used by boys only. The library is also fine it's not that big or has a large variety of books. The grounds are pretty huge but are not maintained much for usage. The entire college infrastructure is slowly changing to better under the government.

Faculty: Teachers are very much helpful. They provide all the notes and are always ready to help. The only drawback is the whole environment of the college is more Bengali-oriented so most of the teachers also talk in Bengali which is difficult for the non-Bengali student to adjust to. All the faculty members are highly qualified, and most of them in the anthropology department are holding a doctorate. Exams held are not much difficult, and teachers help students accordingly so that the students score well in the exams. The pass percentage is 30%. The only drawback which I faced was that due to lack of management the students are not provided the paper or generic subject they select for themselves. Other: I chose this course because it is a holistic subject, and provides many options to choose for majors from like forensic, archeology, social anthropologist, etc. The best thing

Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 23-Sep-2021. about the course is one who studies it may get a very different perspective about the world. The only thing I wish the college improves about the course is its management and hire more teachers for physical anthropology. The college organises many events for extracurricular activities and festivals, it takes part in intercollege competitions. Every year, a college fest is organised. The crowd here is very friendly if one is not an introvert he/she can make good connections. The campus is at a very good location near city center 1.

3.6 Placements 5 Infrastructure 3 Faculty & Course Curriculum 3 Crowd & Campus Life 3 The lift facility, parking lot and security system are excellent. Placements: A total of 26-27 students were there in my course. The lowest salary offered was 1200 per month, and the highest was Rs. 1800 per month, and the average package was maybe 1500 per month. Becoming a teacher is the top role for me. I am not sure about the percentage of students who got internships. I don't know about the top recruiting companies. Infrastructure: There are labs, libraries and canteen facilities available in our college. As per my opinion, the library, gardens, and labs are excellent in our college, and our college has significant grounds for playing cricket, football etc. The classrooms are good. The auditorium, study rooms and also bathrooms are good. Wi-Fi facility is outstanding. Medical facilities are good like in other colleges, as it is essential for every college. Faculty: Like in other colleges, our teachers and professors also conducted online classes for upcoming online exams to reduce students' problems at the time of lockdown. If students can focus on their studies properly, they can become more successful in life. Other: I chose to go with Bengal Honours. It has great teachers.

4.0 Placements 4 Infrastructure 5 Faculty & Course Curriculum 3 Crowd & Campus Life 4 I chose this college because it is a government college, and its fee structure is very low. Placements: Around 30% of students got placed in my course. There are no placements in the degree course. I don't know about the percentage of students who got internships from the college. I can go for higher like Master's and then PhD.

Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. The labs are neat and clean.

Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 23-Sep-2021. The classrooms are average. The library is huge, and there are lots of books that help us. I don't live in the hostel, so I don't know about the hostel. The food quality in our canteen is average. Medical facilities are good. There aren't many facilities for sports and games. Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, highly qualified, and we love them. They are the best, I think. They help us all the time. Their teaching quality is very good. This course curriculum is relevant, and that makes the students industry-ready. The teachers are just like our parents. Other: Our previous batch of mathematics got good marks in their papers. I chose this course because I love mathematics and wanted to be well-educated in Maths. If there is more advanced equipment in our labs and classrooms, that will be better. There are lots of events, and we enjoy them very much. We all participate in all the events. The campus crowd is high. Our college does not provide any scholarships, but we can apply for government scholarships like SBMCM, Oasis and Inspire. Extracurricular activities like sports, etc., are conducted here.

Placements: I am of the batch 2018. There were 25 students in my class. My course is physics bachelor degree. Around 20% of the students got placed. The highest package offered was 10 LPA, the lowest package was 3 LPA, and the average package was 5 LPA. None of the students got internships this year. Infrastructure: There are two buildings in our college. One is an old building, and another is a new building. The old building's infrastructure is not good. No free Wi-Fi is provided. Classrooms are small. A good library is available. There is no hostel. A good canteen is present but expensive. There are huge grounds for football and basketball. Faculty: There are six teachers in the physics department. They all are well-qualified but lazy. Four of them are knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is outdated. The course curriculum is not relevant. They always teach us the theory. They never teach practical things. So, it doesn't make the students industry-ready. Other: If you want to enjoy college life, then it's okay. But for students who are serious about their studies, I think this college is not good enough. I chose this course due to lack of information. Responsible teachers can improve our department.

2.4 Placements 1 Infrastructure 2 Faculty & Course Curriculum 2 Crowd & Campus Life 2 Mainly I would like to say that it is not a good college for good students. It's good for averages. Placements: There is no placements after completing the course of M.Sc. in Chemistry. Only you can go for Ph.D. programme if you clear NET examination. Else you have to find job for yourself in various companies. Actually college will not provide you any placements. It's all about the placements. Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the whole college is good. There is nice building, nice canteen and many things. But particularly the labs are not so much good. It's an average standard. Noted there is no usable playground in the whole campus. Classrooms are non AC and average standards. Good Wi-Fi is not available in campus.

Faculty: Frankly speaking, you cannot expect a lot from this college. Obviously some of the faculty members are very good and they have a great knowledge and also they are student friendly. But also some of the faculty is not good at all. No such type of industry exposure is available here. Obviously this college is very helpful for poor students as the course fees is very low. Other: College arranges fest every year. It is enjoyable.

Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 23-Sep-2021. Placements: The process of campus placements does not take place in our college, and neither of the courses has masters taught, except for two or three. Here, internships and scholarships are also absent in our college practices. But, a minimal few grants are there for women, like the Kanyasri and alike. Information is also not provided regarding scholarships, job interviews and internships. Infrastructure: Here, classrooms, library and basic infrastructure are good. This college has facilities, but the faculty and authority are rather reluctant to use it or work for the betterment and overall development of the college and its students. Wi-Fi does not work that good here. The men and women bathrooms are not well provided with, and the canteen here is a bit shabby but okay. But the food here is less than being okay and is high priced based both on the quality and quantity. A whole big field remains unused and is unmanaged most of the time. There is a lack of enthusiasm in playing games other than the table tennis and football. The elevators are weird here, but the classrooms here are spacious and nice. Faculty: The teachers here are well educated but are rather lazy, or they are up to something because I don't see a great spirit in them to teach. Their methods and ways do not really grab a students attention, and so we start bunking classes, and the teachers again put the whole blame on students. Otherwise, most teachers are friendly when not acting strictly like a professor in the class. The faculty is proportionate to the students. Other: We celebrate festivals like Saraswati Puja, Holi, Independence day and alike, at the college. We have an annual fest called Dhun and perform in other college fests too. The campus crowd here is okay maybe. But, I have only one friend because almost all of them appear fake to me. A bunch of some kind of wannabes will be present here. There will be extra-curricular in the fields of games, art and science are organised but only once in a blue when some people come up and take the initiative. The surroundings are good here to stroll around and also are facilitated with the needs of most kinds.

Placements: After B.Sc., you will have to do M.Sc. If you do M.Sc. then you will definitely be placed. The salary here is high from starting. But, for campus drives, you have to go off- campus. The internships are done for the streams having M.Sc like the microbiology, zoology and chemistry. Here, the Dept. of chemistry is the best.

Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 23-Sep-2021. Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in each department separately. Labs are good, and sports occur once in a year. Also, football and cricket tournaments are held here. There will be no hostels here. There will be good food in the canteen. The common room here consists of the carrom and table tennis. There are 2-separate buildings here, and a lift is available in the new building. Faculty: The teachers here are too helpful. All the teachers of our department are too friendly with us. Each department consists of at least 7 teachers. Teaching methods are different for different teachers which is a very good thing to do. What else do you need when you have the best teachers here.

Other: In this college, fests like Dhun, events like swaraswati puja and tournaments like football and cricket will be held. Also, the surroundings have a healthy pollution-free surrounding.

Placements: Zero placements from the college. Since, it offers general courses only and thus no question of salary, companies or anything else related to placements. No students from the botany department got any internships during my period of study in the college. Infrastructure: It is moderate overall with the labs having good enough equipments for the completion of the Bachelor's degree course, but some equipment lack in numbers (like functional microscopes). There is no hostel facility. The quality of food available in the canteen is average. I did not face any infrastructure related issues that I remember.

Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable mostly if I leave out one or two of them. The teaching quality was good overall. Chalk and board method was mostly used for teaching but sometimes a smart screen would be used as well. Student to faculty ratio was about 10:1. No industry exposure but the course curriculum was quite helpful for my higher studies and competitive exams.

Other: The college fest used to be lame since the students union used to be too busy to show themselves off in the fest and not let the general students who weren't their friends get positive exposure. (Hons.) in Mathematics - Batch of 2017 Verified Reviewed on 11 Feb 2018 1.4 Placements 1 Infrastructure 3 Faculty & Course Curriculum 1 Crowd & Campus Life 1 My life's the biggest mistake to get myself admitted into this college. Placements: There is no placement facility available at the institution. Name of counselling section does exist in the websites or college magazine but to no use. I never heard any of my senior being placed in any organisation through the college. They do not care about your placement issues or not on your academic field also well. I was once said that initially when this college was at Calcutta University. There were placements through college, but when it was placed under West Bengal State University. This place turned into a desolate place with fewer admissions and zero placements. Our college does have eminent pass outs, but they belong to those periods when this college was under Calcutta University.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, ample space available. The new building will look good but old one will have a not so good look from the interior. Physics and chemistry laboratory is good enough as I went into it. They were my pass subjects. One NEILIT centre is present in the campus that facilitates computer knowledge of higher level. Recently, NAAC grades of this college went down. This must be due to the failure of administration. There is no infrastructure for the sports ground, the ground remains full of grasses whole year, and only at the time of admissions, it is cleaned to maintain an outward show. When there was an inspection during our term by the NAAC, they managed to install some useless articles on the football ground. Even on the sports event, we manage somehow to run on tracks because of severe wear and tear on the ground. Faculty: Bachelor degree 3 years and masters in some courses for two years. No semester wise exams for the bachelor degree. There is no general degree course conducted at this institute. This place is good for those who want to have a degree in chemistry, microbiology & zoology because here they will get an opportunity to pursue masters degree too. For mathematics department this palace is not good, even faculty do not take responsibility to take classes regularly. The number of the students in the class will be more than the faculty members.

Other: Sports instructor do not conduct sports in a good manner way. Even he will not give a notice about the college in the sports meet. The Wi-Fi connectivity is available but limited data usage restriction. Less number of admissions are responsible for the less crowd.

Career counselling is also held. About 30% of the students get jobs quickly. But, there were many model hunting campaigns found for searching models. Any student of this college can get a job through college counselling. Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good among many postgraduate colleges. The faculty members are good. The library has a huge collection of books. In the college backyard, a big playground is available, which remains useless. The college canteens are very useful, you will get almost every fast food here, noodles, momo, pakora, tea, coffee, paratha, egg and veg rolls, samosa, cold drinks, etc., are available. Faculty: The college professors are very good. Their teaching method is unique and modern, with projectors and computers. New teachers are also good. They behave friendly with the students. The college has a proper hall fitted with projectors and loud speaks for seminars and other gatherings in which we have hosted many stalwarts from all around the world. The English department has its classes held in the new building which is mainly for the art students. Coming to sports, the boys common room is equipped with a carrom board and a table tennis board. There's a standard size football ground which caters during sports events but its maintenance is not up to the mark. It is only looked after for a few months when the ground is actually needed (during winters). Canteen food is cheap, good and sanitary. Rs 20 shall be enough to fill you up. Finding immediate medical help can be a bit troublesome here. For serious conditions, one needs to be escorted to a nearby hospital or nursing home.

Faculty: The faculty is top notch here (intellectual, knowledgeable and lustrous) but classes are held regularly only if the students are willing to co-operate. Regularity varies from batch to batch. The professors are little to be blamed. They are always available in the staffroom. And can also be found on the phone for help.
