In my Ph.D.- Thesis (supervised by Ulla Wessels and Christoph Fehige), I investigate the phenomenon of moral disagreement from a metaethical point of view. Assuming that a clear understanding of the phe- nomenon itself is prerequisite for assessing a metaethical theory’s resources to explain moral dis- agreements, the first step is finding resp. developing a plausible definition of moral disagreement.I then move on to assess different metaethical attempts to account for moral disagreements. My further interests particularly include normative ethics, history of ethics, philosophy of lan- guage, and philosophy of mind. I also have a very deep interest in the philosophy of David Hume and its influence on contemporary analytic philosophy.
