Data were obtained from a survey sent to a randomstratified sample of 500 Catholic high schools in the United States, which yielded 278 usable returns. Information is presented on school administration, teachers, students, admission standards, facilities, parental involvement, finances, development programs, and governance and external relations. Findings indicate that the percentage of president-led Catholic high schools has risen to 20 percent. Teacher salaries and stipends have increased, and the gap between salaries in public and Catholic schools has narrowed slightly.
