Ryan Von Brock had GBHS’ lone win in the 3,200 meters run (10:20.34). Mason Youberg was a part of two runner up ­inishes­–­the­4x800­meter­relay­ (8:41.49),­ with­ Connor­ Creel,­ Gary Quilligan and Von Brock and was second (by six one- ­hundreths­of­a­second­–­1:59.46)­ in­the­800­meters. Joe Rich was third in the ­discus­ (116-3),­ while­ Collin­ Denaro was fourth in the 300 meter hurdles (44.34). Creel­was­sixth­in­the­800­­meters­ (2:12.96),­while­Murray­was­sixth­ in­the­triple­jump­(40-01.25).­­­ On the girls’ side, Hannah Spooneybarger had Gulf Breeze’s only win (in the 3,200 meters –­ 12:15.96)­ and­ missed­ out­ on­ another­irst­place­inish­by­three­ one-hundreths of a second in the 1,600­meters­(5:36.56). The Gulf Breeze boys weightlifting team posted two wins in a six-day span, beat- ing­Catholic­54-32­Feb.­22­and­ ­Escambia­56-33­Monday. Gabe­ Millican­ (119­ pound­ class),­Reese­Parker­(129­pound­ class),­ Harrison­ O’Daniel­ (183­ pound class) and Logan Green (199­ pound­ class)­ won­ their­ weight classes in both meets. Others winners at the Catholic meet­ were­ Shane­ Grimes­ (139­ pound­ class),­ Jael­ Davis­ (169­ pound class) and Matthew Hawkins (heavyweight class). Other winners at the Escambia meet­were­Jayden­Skipper­(154­ pound class) and Noah Berry (219­pound­class). Devon­ Baldwin­ (119­ pound­ class),­Patrick­Smith­(139­pound­ class)­ and­ Stephen­ Guess­ (169­ pound class) were second in both meets.
