Cllr Heidi Brunsden, East Grinstead, Imberhorne The Brunsdon household is really committed to positive change. Some years back we bought a Green Johanna kitchen waste composter from West Sussex County Council. This has provided a steady supply of superb organic matter for our vegetable garden and reduced our landfill bin by over a third. We’ve also changed all but a few of our light bulbs to low energy, turned off all standby appliances, and always wash our laundry at 30 degrees. It all adds up to a real reduction of our CO2 emissions and noticeable cost savings.
