Eddy Pineiro By William Edwards and Sam Zakarin
Eddy Pineiro is the Bears’ new kicker. He was born on September 13, 1995 in North Miami Beach, Florida. Eddy Pineiro is 5 feet 11 inches and weighs 176 pounds. The college he went to was Florida University.
Eddy Pineiro went undrafted in 2018 but he signed with the Oakland Raiders. He was the backup kicker for the Raiders. The Raiders’ starting kicker didn’t get injured, so Eddy didn’t get a single kick! The Raiders thought he was worthless so they traded him to the desperate Chicago Bears for a seventh round pick.
That was a terrible trade by the Raiders. Eddy isn’t the best player but he sure is worth more than a seventh round pick. In week two, he got the game winning field goal. Every- one loved him! Eddy Pinerio didn’t know that people would hate him soon.
In week 8 of the NFL season, the Bears were playing the Chargers. The Chargers were Eddy Pineiro heavy underdogs. Dance for Dewey Fundraiser Help the PTA Meet Their Goal
Dance for Dewey was a huge success last week! Thank you to the Dewey Players, our parent-teacher band, who were amazing. And thank you to Principal Sokolowski for showing us how to really dance on Friday night!
There is still time to help us meet our fundraising goal of $12,000. We are only a quarter of the way there. This funding is critical to all the things Dewey PTA supports, including scholarships for before- and after-school activities, school events, field trips, the edible garden, Books & Breakfast, sports and much more.
