Before the arrival of our dishes, a plateful of hot crispy and herbaceous bread sticks were presented, accompanied by a perfectly pungent olive puree and thick sour cream dip. Delightful. The ‘kull mozzarella’, however, didn’t live up to expectations. Although beautifully present- ed – a slice of center-placed French bread, topped with roasted aubergine, red peppers and courgette, cloaked in melted cheese and drizzled with balsamic sauce – the mozzarella was not top-notch and possessed the texture of cheese that was once melted, but had unpleas- antly cooled. Minutes later, our chicken salad arrived, again nicely, and unconventionally plated.
