The tension between these two feelings is illustrated by the water element, which is not used in its physical form, but more on its psychological effects. By perceiving water in different levels and not the normal way of seeing sea water, it allowed us to 藥build up用 a story of emotions for the visitor to experience as he moves through the gallery, depicting 4 stages of water and light.

It is a very practical gesture to distribute salt or other granular products from the fingertips, because it gives perfect control of how much is applied and where. This design combines a container with the benefits of this gesture. The silicone skin is very thin where the fingertips are placed to offer a haptic feedback of how much of the content is spread. This work is a poster design with the topic of global warming. The Monster at Loch Ness Lake would reveal herself with a new posture because of rising water level as a result of global warming. The work uses elephant trunk and the monster用s imaginative body to demonstrate unique visual taste and extended effect. The seemingly Western color scheme used in this work is actually 繃leaving blank effect of Oriental landscape painting. The structural sketch with numerous lowered images shows the depth and width of the sea. The flowing elephant constitutes the visual center of the issue of global warming.

´do furniture´ is a parametric furniture system based on intersections or 藥nodal points用 made from standard steel tubes laser-cut to shape. The form of the furniture is not fixed but rather defined by a set of rules. Within these rules specific parameters can be adjusted to produce the final geometry of a piece. Entirely bespoke forms can therefore be created according to customer用s individual preference. The exact profiles of these nodal points are calculated for precision fabrication by a 3D lasercutter. Akin to a 3D-puzzle, these complex geometries are then assembled and welded together, which allows infinite variety in the form.

The inspiration for the fabrics I found in the various folding techniques of Japanese origami. The translations of these folding techniques into knitted textiles demanded intensive studying of the interaction between yarns and knitting paterns. These textiles are extraordinary complex three-dimensional knits, which are quite flexibel and show a certain strenght as well as the memory-effect.

Stitching Concrete is a project, inspired by the contrasts of the Material Concrete Canvas. These stools are made by folding fabric that用s impregnated with cement then drenching it in water. A wooden mould supports it while drying and hardening within 24 hours. The Material combines the warm softness of the cloth and the stability of the cold concrete, but the finished surface keeps the soft appearance. It plays with a visual delusion that actually cloth can not give the strength to sit on. The Stools are for indoor and outdoor use, caused by the material´s durability against UV and chemicals, fire proofed and water resistant.

The stretcher Endur is designed for remote mountain regions. Inspired by the Indian Himalayan region of Uttarkashi, it allows patient to be carried to the nearest street to meet the ambulance. The most frequent emergencies are pregnant women, therefore Endur also allows a sitting position. In order to offer the carriers comfort as well, they can use carrying straps in the plainer parts. On the steep slopes the front carrier can shoulder the stretcher. To enable the carrying with 3 persons on the very narrow and impassable routes the stretcher narrows towards the front.

Pill Jar
Tremor is one symptom of PD (Parkinson用s Disease) and it makes the sufferers用 limbs cannot help but shake. Therefore, they cannot do detailed action fluently. Drawing pills from jars is one of the most depressing things for them as they need to take medicine frequently. Pill Jar for PD helps the sufferers of PD (or elders) to draw pills from pill jars easily with their shaking hands. The mechanism allows users to get one pill at a time simply by pressing and releasing the top. Moreover, the main part is reusable and can be set on different pill jars with its silicone ring. The usage of Pill Jar for PD is simple without detailed action.

A pot is one of important kitchen utensils for cooking. A pot lid, however, often ends up in the corner of the kitchen without playing its roles fully. Therefore, I suggest how to improve the status of a pot lid here. The inner part of the pot lid is designed to serve as a container for preparing ingredients. Further, the container of the pot lid is partitioned up to 4 parts so that different ingredients as many can be kept for higher efficiency of adding each ingredient just in time. The narrow and thin container edge of the pot lid would make each ingredient to be dropped gradually, and even prevent ingredients from falling off the pot.

Lota Agua is a low cost, collapsible shower designed for communities lacking running water. As the user steps on the shower, with the help of gravity their own body weight provides pressure, pushing the water up towards the shower head. The use cycle simply involves filling up the bucket, designed in the shape of bellows for collapsing and stepping onto the platform. Users can control water flow with a valve located at the shower head. The system requires only 10 Kg of body weight, enabling children to shower independently. Finally, Lota Agua incorporates the reuse of grey water to irrigate the garden when using biodegradable soap.
