VNITRNI STRANY BERLIN 2018.Indd EUROPEAN ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS AUGUST | 7−12 | 2018 BERLIN | CZECH TEAM This brochure was made by Czech Athletic Federation‘s Communications Department. www.atletika.cz Kateřina CACHOVÁ (heptathlon) born: 26. 2. 1990 Ostrava club: Univerzitní sportovní klub Praha coach: Martina Blažková PB: heptahlon - 6328/2016 2017: heptathlon - 6373w/6264 Kladno 17. - 18. 6. DEAR FRIENDS OF ATHLETICS, Libor VARHANÍK PERSONAL BESTS IN THE HEPTATHLON INDIVIDUAL President I am very glad that, despite the absence of the Czech Athletic Federation of some traditional representatives - some DISCIPLINES for health, others for more joyous parental reasons - the Czech team to Berlin is both 100m hurdles 13.05/2016 large and powerful. It fi lls me with belief high jump 1.85/2010 that it will be successful, like those of the previous championships in Amsterdam or shot put 13.17/2017 Zurich. 200 m 24.10/2016 I believe that Czech athletes in Berlin long jump 6.40/2008, will fi nish high not only to prove that 6.51w/2017 Czech athletics belongs to the European top federations. I also have one more javelin throw 47.47/2009 extraordinary, immodest wish. I would love 800m 2:12.38/2017 to see as many of our athletes as possible at the world's top season event at home, since, as you know, the European Championship serves as a qualifi cation for the IAAF Continental Cup, which we organize in September in Ostrava. I am convinced that we will see great athletics in Berlin. Although it's been nine years, we still have in vivid memory the successful world championships that the Olympic stadium hosted in 2009. I believe conditions, atmosphere - all will again be fantastic. GENERAL PARTNER OF CZECH ATHLETIC FEDERATION OFFICIAL PARTNERS OF CZECH ATHLETIC FEDERATION EUROPEAN ATHLETICS INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 5–7 MARCH 2021 #CzechAthleticTeam#CzechhAtA hlh eettiiccT CZECH TEAM OFFICIAL SUPPLIERS OF CZECH ATHLETIC FEDERATION THE PROJECT WAS CREATED WITH SUPPORT 20 TORUŃ 21 EUROPEAN ATHLETICS INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS This brochure was made by Czech Athletic Federation‘s Communications Department. www.atletika.cz DEAR FRIENDS OF ATHLETICS We are in a time that has aff ected all human activities, not excluding top sport. The little we are used to, athletes can now fully do, from training to competing, including trips for both. That is why I am very glad to be able to greet you from this place and introduce the national team for Toruń. The top athletic event (with the signifi cant exception of the World Half Marathon Championships) was last held a year and a half ago in Doha. The organization of the European Indoor Championships in Toruń is a milestone for several reasons. It is essential that an event of this scale takes place at all. Although in a restricted mode, without spectators. I am proud that we prepared competitive opportunities for Czech athletes at home last year, when we were able to organize almost all national championships. Conditions for training and competitions were diffi cult even in the indoor season in the Czech Republic. However, the Czech Athletic Federation negotiated an exception to organize the Athletics Indoor League with four legs and the national indoor championships. Together with meetings in Ostrava, Nehvizdy and Kladno, Czech athletes had the opportunity to qualify for the European Indoor Championships in Toruń.
