I am genuinely passionate about this issue and the opportunity to promote this ambitious campaign. As an occasional Black Country cyclist myself, I’m looking to work with other people who really know the issues and have practical ideas to boost bikes as a mainstream means of transport. The aim is to make a bike a safer and easier routine travel choice, through improved infrastructure such as cycle lanes, cycle priority and improvements at stations and other public spaces. Historically the West Midlands region has had fewer people choosing to cycle to work than other metropolitan regions - and we want to change that.
