One Day Online National Workshop on “Blockchain Technology” Workshop Summary Report Ganpat University (Faculty of Computer Applications) hosted a one-day online national workshop on “Block Chain Technology” on 2nd May 2020.This event was organized in association with ACM Ahmedabad Professional Chapter. It was sponsored by Cavitak Marketing (P) Ltd. The organizing team consisted of 1. Dr.Satyen M. Parikh, Executive Dean (FCA) as Chairman, 2. Dr. Jyotindra N. Dharwa, Associate Professor (FCA) as Convener, 3. Dr. Bhavesh R. Patel and Mr. Bharat B. Prajapati, Assistant Professor (FCA) as Coordinators of the event. The Invited guests, keynote speaker, dignitaries, attendees joined the workshop online from their home through zoom meeting. The workshop started at 10:00 am in the presence of academic leaders and luminaries Dr. Mahendra Sharma, Pro. Chancellor and Director General of Ganpat University, Dr. Amit Patel, Pro. Vice Chancellor and Executive Registrar of Ganpat University, Dr. Rajen Purohit, Executive Dean, Ganpat University, Dr. Satyen Parikh, Executive Dean, FCA, Dr. Nirbhay Chaubey, Dean, FCA, Keynote Speaker Dr. Parikshit N Mahalle, Professor and Head-Department of Computer Engineering, STES,SKNCOE, Pune, Invited guest Dr. Nilesh Modi, Professor & Director, School of Computer Science, Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University and the resource person was Dr. Kalpesh Parikh (MD and CEO at Intellisense ITsys Pvt Ltd). 1 Welcoming and Addressing: Dr. Satyen Parikh Sir (Executive Dean- FCA) welcomed all the participants, dignitaries, keynote speaker and expert. He also congrats all the participants for attending a workshop in such awful and stressed situation. He briefed about the workshop and ensures that everyone will get something that would be helpful in their academic as well as research career. Dr. Mahendra Sharma Sir addressed all the guests, participants, speaker and expert. Sir talked about current pandemic situation of COVID-19 and mention the scenario that now we have to cope up with the situation. He also requested to the IT experts to provide suggestions and solutions for the situation. 2 Dr. Rajen Purohit (Executive Dean, Ganpat University) also welcomed all the dignitaries, participants and faculties and wishes for the success of the workshop. Keynote Speaker: Dr. Parikshit Mahalle, the keynote speaker shed light on the blockchain technology and made easier to understand the complicated topics 3 Resource Person: Dr. Kalpesh Parikh, today’s eminent speaker and expert delivered his knowledge about the topics like Crypto Currency, Etherum, Hyper Ledger and many more advances in Blockchain Technology and also solved doubts and queries generated by attendees. He was getting feedback continuously throughout his speech from the participants. He delivered amazing speech. After the completion of his speech, the chairman of the event Dr. Satyen Parikh sir said in appreciation that he had really created magic on that day. The beauty of the workshop was that the audience had remained connected till the end though it was a virtual conference and they were attending from their home About the Workshop The workshop got overwhelming response from all the states of India. Total 465 faculty members had registered themselves from the majority of the states of India like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, New Delhi, Kerala, Kolkata, Andhra Pradesh etc.139 (29.89%) registrations were from Gujarat, 325(69.89%) registrations were from other states and 1 (0.22%) registration was from outside of India. Delegates from 19 states participated in the workshop. The delegates registered from the reputed academic institutions, research organizations and industry also like IIST - Indore, ICT academy - Chennai, NIT - Uttarakhand, UIET - Kurukshetra, MIT – Aurangabad, Punjab University - Chandigarh, TCS – Gandhinagar, CEPT University - Government of Gujarat, KIIT University - Bhubaneswar, PICT - Pune, NIT - Srinagar, IES – Kerala, IPR- 4 Gandhi Nagar, Nirma University - Ahmedabad etc.344 participants across India joined the online workshop and got benefitted. Dr Kalpesh Parikh sir discussed about various parameters of blockchain technology like Crypto Currency, Etherum, Hyper Ledger and many more advances in Blockchain technology. As every participant have queries and questions in their mind, participants raised queries in workshop by zoom raise hand as well as questions and answers sections. Dr Kalpesh Parikh sir read all the questions and answered accordingly that satisfies queries of all the participants and he also discussed about various possibilities of technology. 5 End of Workshop with Vote of Thanks: Workshop ended with a vote of thanks delivered by the convener of the workshop Dr. Jyotindra Dharwa, Associate Professor, Faculty of Computer Applications. He thanked all the guests, attendees, coordinators and committee members. Feedbacks received by Participants: In the end, feedbacks were taken from the participants about the workshop. Feedbacks were taken live as well as by Google forms. The feedbacks were satisfactory. Attendees were satisfied with overall coordination, session quality and content delivery. The workshop got a grand success, considering the efforts from organizing team, quality content delivered by the experts and very good feedback received from participants. 6 Feedbacks of Participants We have got very impressive and highly satisfactory feedbacks from almost all the participants.
