SS Trevor Story hit his 24th home run of the season in the fifth inning, in his 110th game, matching his total from last season (145 games).....has homered in 3 consecutive games for the third time in his career, first since 7/22-7/24, 2016 (3).....finishes the season with 7 home runs and 18 RBI in 7 games against the Brewers, including 4 homers and 9 RBI in this series.....according to Elias, he becomes the 5th player in Rockies history with 7+ home runs against a non-divisional opponent in a season, first since Todd Helton in 1999 (7 vs. Montreal). Story has back-to-back 4 RBI games for the second time this season, also 5/11-5/12.....prior to this season, this had not been done by a Rockie since Nolan Arenado did so from 9/26-9/27, 2015. 3B Nolan Arenado hit his 29th home run of the season in the 10th inning.....was his second career homer in extra innings, also 9/15/15 at Los Angeles-NL.....tied his season high with 3 hits for the ninth time, first since 7/20 at Arizona. RF Carlos González extended his hitting streak to a season high-tying 7 games, during which he has batted .333 (9-for-27).....has reached base in a season-high 12 straight games, posting a .431 OBP during the streak. LF-1B Ian Desmond had his on-base streak snapped at 19 games, which was tied for the longest streak of his career. RHP Scott Oberg earned his seventh win of the season, tops among National League relievers. The Rockies avoided their third sweep of the season, finishing with a 2-5 record on this 7-game road trip.....improve to 4-4 in extra innings this season.....finish 2-5 against Milwaukee this year. Brewers Notes LHP Wade Miley allowed a season-high 3 runs.....allowed his first home run this season to Trevor Story in the fifth inning, which also snapped his 14-inning scoreless streak that dated back to third inning on 7/26 at San Francisco.....moves to 2-1 with a 2.10 ERA (34.1ip, 8er) in 7 starts this season, including 0-0 with a 2.38 ERA (11.1ip, 3er) in 3 starts at home.....made his first appearance against the Rockies since 9/21/14.....moves to 7-2 with a 3.89 ERA (85.2ip, 37er) in 14 career appearances (13 starts) against Colorado. 1B Travis Shaw made his second start of the season at first base, also 7/14 (g1) at Pittsburgh.....hit his 22nd home run of the season in the second inning.....has homered in back-to-back games for the third time this season, first since 5/23-5/25. 3B Mike Moustakas hit his first home run as a Brewer in the ninth inning.....was his 21st home run overall this season. LF Ryan Braun has consecutive multi-hit games and has hit safely in 10 of 11 games since 7/24, batting .387 (12-for-31).....recorded multiple steals in a game for the 17th time in his career, first since 4/14/17 at Cincinnati. The Brewers fall to 6-7 in extra innings this season.....lost for just the second time in their last 9 games against Colorado, finishing this season's series with a 5-2 record.....fall to 4-14 (.222) on Sunday's this season.
