Business Model Innovation – the Solution for EV Producers
Business Model Innovation – the solution for EV producers A qualitative study on Business Model Innovation in the context of Electric Vehicles in the Nordics MASTER THESIS WITHIN: Business Administration NUMBER OF CREDITS: 30 ECTS PROGRAMME OF STUDY: Strategic Entrepreneurship AUTHORS: Jakubas Buchtojarovas, Velislav Malchev JÖNKÖPING May, 2018 1 Master Thesis in Business Administration Title: Business Model Innovation – the solution for EV producers A qualitative study on Business Model Innovation in the context of Electric Vehicles in the Nordics Authors: Jakubas Buchtojarovas and Velislav Malchev Tutor: Naveed Akhter Date: 2018-05-21 Key terms: Business Model, Business Model Innovation, Electric Vehicles, Nordics, Electric Mobility, Case study Abstract Electric Vehicles are a growing trend globally and are currently disrupting the conventional automotive industry, therefore firms in the sector need new business models around their new value propositions. The concept of business model innovation presents an interesting point of view towards the challenges those firms face and provide possible solutions for them. Literature on this relatively new topic is scarce and needs more cumulative empirical research. We engage in a multiple-case study and explore how entrepreneurial and incumbent electric vehicle companies in the Nordics use BMI to overcome their biggest challenges and advance the development of the sector. With our findings, we provide an insight of some of the newest advancements in the EV technology, investigate what are the key antecedents, moderators and outcomes of the BMI process for the researched companies and build on the existing literature on the topic. Finally, practitioners can gain better understanding of the concepts of BM and BMI process and their importance for surviving in the dynamic electric vehicle market. -

Matra P29 Prototype
Matra P29 Prototype Two years after Matra stopped manufacturing the Matra engineers were not content to simply produce a Murena, they showed their first new car. Of course, it pretty face to catch the attention of showgoers; they was a prototype, and as such its parent company wanted to make something that did justice to their Renault ensured it stayed that way. But to be truly technical skills and imagination. Indeed, the P29 was honest, it was a car that only a well-established small built mainly to showcase the company’s technological volume manufacturer could have ever contemplated know-how as automotive consultants, and while doing building for sale, such was its composition and makeup; so, match and better any innovative studies that yes, perhaps if Matra had stayed ‘single’ the P29 may companies like Lotus or Porsche might produce. have become a limited edition M29. The car was first displayed at the Salon de Paris in None-the-less, it was an interesting possibility, or 1986. It was the 29th prototype from Matra, and hence design study, whichever way one views it. As always, its name, Matra P29. It is now a part of the collection of cars in the Matra Museum, and all but forgotten by automotive historians. Aimé Saugues The basis of the P29, or of any car, is its chassis. Its front and rear ailerons, or ‘wings’, too. However, where floor is a flat-bottomed sandwich constructed of the bodywork is more decorative in nature, such as the aluminium/aluminium-honeycomb bonded together front cover and rear engine hatch, the panels are made using heat cured epoxy resin adhesive. -

Orange Times Issue 2
The Orange Times Bruce McLaren Trust June / July 2014, Issue #2 Farewell Sir Jack 1926 - 2014 Along with the motorsport fraternity worldwide I was extremely saddened to th hear of Sir Jack’s recent passing on the 19 May. The McLaren family and Jack have shared a wonderful life-long friendship, starting with watching his early racing days in New Zealand, then Pop McLaren purchasing the Bobtail Cooper from Jack after the NZ summer racing season of 1957. For the following season of 1958, Jack made the McLaren Service Station in Remuera his base and brought the second Cooper with him from the UK for Bruce to drive in the NZIGP which culminated in Bruce being awarded the Celebrating 50 Years of “Driver to Europe”. Jack became his mentor and close friend and by 1959 McLaren Racing Bruce joined him as teammate for the Cooper Racing Team. The rest, as we say, is history but the friendship lived on and the BM Trust Following on from their Tasman Series was delighted to host Jack in New Zealand for a week of motorsport memories success, the fledgling BMMR Team set about in 2003 with Jack requesting that the priority of the trip was to be a visit to their very first sports car race with the Zerex see his “NZ Mum” Ruth McLaren, who, by then, was a sprightly 97 years old. th Special – on April 11 1964 at Oulton Park and I shared a very special hour with the two of them together and the love and this was a DNF/oil pressure. -
History of the Alpine Brand

A RENAULT ‘FAMILY’ Jean Rédélé was the first-born son of Madeleine Prieur and Emile Rédélé, a Renault dealer based in Dieppe and a former mechanic of Ferenc Szisz – the first Renault Frères ‘factory driver’, winner of the Grand Prix de la Sarthe in 1906 at Le Mans and runner-up in the Grand Prix de l'A.C.F. in Dieppe in 1907. Louis Renault himself had hired Emile Rédélé right at the beginning of the 20th Century. At the end of the First World War, at the request of Louis Renault, the young Emile Rédélé settled in Dieppe and opened a Renault dealership there in rue Thiers. Two years later, Jean-Emile- Amédée Rédélé was born on May 17, 1922. After completing his studies in Normandy, Jean Rédélé took his Baccalauréat exam during the Second World War and came into contact with people as diverse as Antoine Blondin, Gérard Philipe and Edmond de Rothschild. He chose to be a sub-prefect before settling on a career direction and enrolling at the H.E.C.
