Darleys [the next 2 pages are blank] [Friday 18 January] Hugh came to Lilianfels with traps [?] & drove us to the Gordon Falls We sat & chatted over old times & back to luncheon. Sir F. Darley had returned from Sydney Walked about during the afternoon Went to Lady Darley’s “Sert” [?] & Miss Darley & Shylie drove in the Sulkey. [Saturday 19 January] Lilianfels to Sydney The last day of this delightful visit Walked about place with Jn Fredh [?] in person—Told him about the controversy as to Consolidated Stock Early luncheon—He & Mrs Darley & Captn D came to Station to see us off—We left at light [?] to Sydney at 4.12 […] I went to Dentist & they with Mr Hugh London drove round Domain He dined with us & we all went to Opra [?]—Traviata [?] again! not the piece we expected Telephoned the Albertsons [?] but they couldn’t come to Dinner [Sunday 20 January] Quiet morning at home Afternoon Calls on Mrs F. B. Kitty & Mae [?] packed I wrote letters & arranged papers etc After lunch went to call upon the Governor General Dr. Paterson, Mr. Griffith Mr. Wensley, & others called to say Good bye—K. & Shylie gave them also The Disagreeable Man” & Miss English friend) tea on the Balcony— Captn. Wallington Also called to say good bye & Paul Smith & A. H. Heaton Dined early & after saying Good bye to the Manager & D. Man said left for Melbourne After having a month of luxurious hospitality from the Govt. Comfortable car provided for us—plenty of room & all we required [Monday 28 January] Had breakfast at—Served by Mrs. Lewis who gave us some mangles to taste Conductor most kind & kept giving us tea & Biscuits etc.
