STRENGHENING NORTH-SOUTH & SOUTH-SOUTH DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION OF THE WITH THE WORLD HEALTH SUMMIT (WHS) THE AIMS OF OUR COLLABORATION

 Jointly identify the major challenges of the healthcare issues and actively address these challenges by bringing together stakeholders from research, education, industry, politics, clinical care and many other disciplines to jointly develop strategies to tackle the major health care issues.  Define the challenges of healthcare in the developing and emerging economies and improve collaboration  The ensuing agenda of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) are confounded by challenges of unsolved and newly emerging problems such as:  "the demographic shift to an ageing society; new types of epidemics, such as obesity, mental ill-health (dementia, Alzheimer disease), myocardial infarction and strokes, cancer, violence and injury in developed and developing countries, the Ebola epidemics in West Africa, HIV, tuberculosis, , the rising costs of health care, climate change and its health consequences and the worldwide economic crisis and its serious threats to the health of populations across the globe. These are high on the agenda of the World Health Summit. 18

FINDING SOLUTIONS TO SHAPING HEALTH POLICIES AND FACE CHALLENGES IN DISEASE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT

 5.1. Provision of useful guidelines for policy makers for shaping their strategic plans in strengthening capacity building programs in research and clinical science towards achieving the sustainable developing goals (SDGs) agenda of the UNO.  5.2. Regular seminars on leadership and governance in collaboration with professional organizations to strengthening healthcare efficiency in communicable (CD) and non- communicable diseases (NCD).  5.3. Develop network of leading personalities, health institutions and professional organizations across academia, industry, politics, and civil society with the health institutions of the M8 Alliance.  5.4. Integration of disaster medicine into the medical school curriculum focused on crisis preparedness, response, and inclusion of the society in the training programs.

 5.5. Promotion of international medical teams to strengthening healthcare delivery in specialized fields also in the context of south-to-south development cooperation in the ACP States.  5.6. Promotion of health information systems (HIS): Generation of database.  5.7. Telemedicine: Application of the modern communication systems to improve healthcare, health education, transfer of knowledge and expertise and a sustainable networking and partnership.  5.8. Promotion of infrastructure maintenance in healthcare systems to ensure patient safety and efficient healthcare delivery.
