Parker McCollum Fact Sheet Page Two

Of note: * Eleven originals written or co-written by McCollum except “Galveston Bay,” penned by his cousin and songwriting mentor Austen Biggers, and “Prohibition Rose,” written by Parker’s brother, Tyler McCollum. * Guest appearances by legendary instrumentalist Lloyd Maines, who plays steel guitar on “Prohibition Rose,” and Brendan Anthony — who played with Band — on the fiddle on “Galveston Bay.” * The new music has been released to regional and national radio outlets and the single, “Meet You in the Middle,” is generating airplay on stations across Texas. * The title of The Limestone Kid pays tribute to his roots: specifically his grandfather’s ranch located in Limestone County, Texas, where McCollum would work every summer. * After being obsessed with ’s video of “Pancho and Lefty,” McCollum started playing guitar at age 13, picked up the harmonica and started writing songs at 15, and played his first gig at 16. * Released four-song EP, A Red Town View (November 2012), and its single, “Highway,” received regional airplay, including on Austin’s KOKE-FM * McCollum and his band plan to tour behind the new release this year.
