***** ORDER In the Government order first read above, the Government have fixed the rates of Annual Contribution of the Urban Local Bodies payable to the Tamil Nadu Institute of Urban Studies, Coimbatore with effect from 10.04.2011 as below:- Contribution amount of Name of the Urban Local Body each local body Per annum. Selection Grade Municipality 90,000 First Grade Municipality 50,000 Second and Third Grade Municipality 20,000

Special and Selection Grade Town Panchayats 10,000

First and Second Grade Town Panchayats 5,000

2. In the letter second read above, the Director (FAC), Tamil Nadu Institute of Urban Studies has stated that after 2011, the Annual Contribution rates have not been revised. Considering the overall increase in the training cost, establishment and administrative expenses maintenance of hostel, office building and other infrastructures and implementation of 7" Pay Commission etc., the day to day expenditure has escalated during the past few years, it is keenly felt necessary to increase the rates of Annual contributions payable by the Urban Local Bodies. Considering the above necessity to increase the Financial resources of the Institute in carrying out its normal activities, the Management Committee of the Institute vide Resolution No.11 dated 10.03.2018 have resolved to enhance the Annual Contribution of the Urban Local Bodies and recommended to send the proposal to Government for requesting necessary orders for the revised rates as below:-

First Grade Municipality 75,000 Second Grade Municipality 30,000 Special and Selection Grade Town Panchayats 20,000 First and Second Grade Town Panchayats 10,000 3. The Director (FAC), Tanil Madu Institute of Urban Studies has stated that the date of of effect revision of rates of Annual Contribution may be given effect frorn the Financial Year 01.04,2021 arnd requested the Government to also issue orders for the Urban Local Bodies vuhich are upgraded in between Financial year as to the rates poyabie by then tor the Financial year during which the transition made.

4. In the letter third, fourth and fifth read above the Director of Town Panchayats, the Commissioner of Municipal Administration and the Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation have agrecd to the proposal of the Director (FAC), Tarnil Nadu Institute of Urban Studies to enhance the revised rates of Annual contribution payable by all the Urban Local Bodies to Tamil Nadu Institute of Urban Studies, Coimbatore.

5. The Government after careful examination, accept the proposal of the Director (FAC), Tarmil Nadu Institute of Urban Studies mentioned at 2 above and orders para accordingly subject to condition that the Urban Local Bodies which are upgraded in betvween a Financial year has to pay the revised rate of annual contribution for the Financial year during which the transition made. 6. The Enhancement of Annual contribution payable by all the Urban Local Bodies to Tarmil Nadu Institute of Urban Studies Coimbatore is with effect from 01.04.2021. applicable
