The park is oval in shape, hence th e name, and bound ed/encircled by Reserv oir Oval East and West. It is ali gned so that its long ax is run s northeast to so uthwest. Fo r clarity, thi s ax is will henceforth be referred to as if it were ali gned directl y north-south.
