North East Hampshire Youth League Honours 1970 to the Present North East Hampshire Youth League Honours 1970 to the Present Day 1970 – 1971 SEASON. There was a strong Cub Scouts league in the area and, with the Football Association sanctioning organised Sunday league football for the first time, the League was formed for the 1970 – 1971 season with 3 age groups under the banner of the Farnborough & District Boys League. In the League’s second season the teams from the first season in the lower two age groups wanted to continue so two new age groups were added. However, it was unfortunate that the oldest age group had too few teams and, therefore, didn’t run. A supplementary Cup was also added so as to provide a viable number of games and keep the teams interested until the end of the season. The site is located on the junction of the A30 London Road and Maultway North, which is very close to the Jolly Farmer roundabout on the A30. 1.2 The principle of residential development on the site and the access is considered to be acceptable. Impact on local character and residential amenity would be considered at the reserved matters stage, however subject to additional amenity space being provided no concerns are raised at this stage. Details of proposed parking would berequired by condition. The land is likely to be contaminated, however, and further work will be necessary before any development takes place to ensure that the land is remediated to a satisfactory standard. The proposal is CIL liable and will also attract a SAMM payment once details of the property sizes are known.
