Spoljaric District 3 District 5 At Large 2018 Board of Public Works and Safety: Mayor Andy Cook, Randy Graham, Kate Snedeker 2018 ANNUAL REPORT 5 CHIEFS The 2018 Westfield Police Department Annual Report is designed to give the reader an inside glance of our most important asset, our people. A special look at our team members, divisions and specialties along with our various programs, outreach initiatives and year-end statistical information. We faced many challenges in 2018. The Noblesville School shooting sparked an outcry throughout central Indiana to closely examine our preparedness and school safety. Through a cooperative partnership between the Westfield Washington Schools and the Police Department, many changes were made to increase the safety of our most precious treasure, our children. We added two school resource officers and an explosive detection K9. We also created Police Substations in each of our schools and encouraged officers to conduct school visits to further increase visibility. The Indianapolis Colts moving their training camp to Grand Park, creating another challenge for our department in 2018. Providing staffing for the multiple week event tested our team in ways we had never experienced before. By utilizing each member of our department, and the dedicated volunteers of our Citizens’ Academy Alumni Association, we assembled a team that provided a safe environment for the Colts and all who attended. -

Given the relative youth of the discipline, performance studies has remained steadfast in delimiting its objects as those that are live—shared air performance—and not bound by textuality; only recently has the discipline considered the mediated, but still solely within the circumscription of shared air performance. The cinema, as cultural object, permeates our lives—it is pervasive and ubiquitous—it sets the bar for quality acting, and shapes our expectations and ideologies. The cinema, and the cinematic text, is a complex performance whose individual components combine to produce a sum greater than the total of its parts. The cinema itself is a performance—not just the acting—participating in a cultural dialogue, continually reshaping and challenging notions of liveness, made more urgent with the ever-increasing use of digital technologies that seem to further segregate what is generally considered real performance from the final, constructed cinematic text. -

Written by Doris Baizley and Ms. Commire based on the 20-year chronology of NOW's history compiled by Toni Carabillo and Judith Meuli, the show is a moving and funny, informative and entertaining, and fast-paced blend of history and entertainment. It's a serious, yet humorous account of some of the events and actions that changed women's lives since NOW's founding in 1966.
