During lunch on Thursday, twenty Sixth Form students of varying artistic ability took part in the ‘Draw Your Tutor’ competition. On Saturday 16th March Bertie Barden, Lucy Gunn and I competed in the Milano Trio Team national competition, after qualifying in the regionals a few months ago. It was safe to say that the hours of training and the long journey to Stoke-on-Trent was well worth this incredible day. The best teams from every region of the country were competing and so the bar was set very high, not to mention the large number of teams we were competing against. However, this pushed us to perform all of our routines to the best of our abilities and resulted in us placing 13th out of 29 in our category. Furthermore, we received 3rd place as part of the eastern region (along with the other qualifying trio from our region) which placed 3rd in our category. It was an amazing day but we could not have received such a fantastic experience without the hard-work and dedication from our teachers Miss Ellis and Miss Schafer. Rhiannon Barden 12WW
