The contents herein are the mellowed fruits of our hard toil of almost a decade, the post accreditation period, by virtue of which Sree Narayana College, Chempazhanthy enjoys ever increasing student-demand. The rise in the demand has been our impetus to intensify our intention and exertion to realize qualitative and quantitative excellence in the institution’s multifarious pursuits. Our crystalline perspective, graced by Sree Narayana Guru is tailored for the expansion of higher education so that the gross enrolment ratio soars up to gratify the educational aspirations of the deprived, the marginalized and the vulnerable. Based on the Advaitha philosophy, the Guru preached Oneness of Humanity. We, the acolytes of the Guru fervently labour to impart to all, irrespective of class, caste, religious and regional disparities, moral and ethical enlightenment and adequate competence to survive the strident requirements of modern life and to augment Indian human resource potential to its maximum, with equity and inclusion.

Swachhta Rankings 2019 Promoting Effective Solid and Liquid Waste Management Swachhta in Indian Villages Engagement of Higher Education Institutions Department of Higher Education Ministry of Human Resource Development MHRD Government of India Swachhta Rankings 2019 Promoting Effective Solid and Liquid Waste Management Higher Education Institutions – Promoting Swachhta The Ministry of Human Resource Development promotes and rewards the cleanliness efforts of educational institutions every year. Swachhta or cleanliness must be a habit in students and it can be developed only in educational institutions. Clean India is the foundation of healthy India. Honourable Prime Minister’s vision for ‘Transforming India’, has been taken very committedly by the Ministry. The transformation of the education sector with the motto of “सबको शिक्षा, अच्छी शिक्षा” (education for all, quality education) is playing dividends. Added to this, the Swachhta mission for cleanliness of campuses and the surroundings is a notable achievement for the Government of India. Submissions by Higher Education Institutions for Swachhta Rankings for the year 2019 yielded a huge response. The Swachhta mission enthusiastically observed by Universities/Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) has given fruitful results both on and off campus. More and more educational institutions are applying for Swachhta Rankings, which shows the growing awareness among people. Maharashtra state has the highest number of HEIs promoting Swachhta with Effective Solid and Liquid Waste Management numbers followed by Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. India needs Swachh Bharat Mission to make India a clean and green nation. Cleanliness is not just about education, it is the morality and sensibility of common man. Every person should take upon himself/herself to contribute for a better India.

  • A Report on Legal Education in Kerala and the Feasibility of Starting Three Year LLB Evening Course in Govt. Law College, Ernakulam
A Report on Legal Education in Kerala and the Feasibility of Starting Three Year LLB Evening Course in Govt. Law College, Ernakulam 1. Introducton Before India’s independence, the sphere of legal education was limited because its social aim was to punish the people for offences, to solve civil disputes between people and to maintain law and order. But after independence, the situation underwent transformation and India became a welfare state. The main aim of democracy was to secure political, economic and social justice to the people. In a welfare state, there are a large number of laws and the state regulation and control become necessary. Here the scope of law becomes widened as legal advice is sought in many spheres. Governments require lawyers who are experts in matters relating to constitutional law, while business and industrial circles need those lawyers who have a thorough knowledge of taxation, labour, mercantile and company laws. In order to develop political institutions, it has become necessary to acquire knowledge of election, and parliamentary and constitutional laws. For economic development, it is necessary to know the economic problems and at the same time the laws governing the economic activities. For social development, the lawyers must know the prevalent social evils and consequently the laws regarding social reforms in India. 1.1 Legal Education Legal education in India has witnessed steady growth after Independence. The accelerated pace of legal education coincided with liberalisation of India’s economy and its increasing integration with a globalised world as a result of expanded utility and scope of legal services in economy, corporate sector and public policy.
