A grassroots idea comes to life With sponsorship from Google and Consolidated Graphics, the Gayetons have realized their idea of community-driven Lexicon Pop Up shows to be mounted in farmers markets, grocery stores, , libraries, schools and other grassroots locaons across the country. The goal of the shows is to transform local communies into “idea incubators” that can reshape the community’s relaonship with its food, farmers, and local environment, by spurring dialogue about how ordinary people can have a posive impact on the system. One Science Park Boston, MA 02114 mos.org The Pop Up Show Lisa Monrose of the Museum of Science was selected as one of 100 Lexicon Pop Up curators naonally and received 24 images to host in places where people who are interested in food and sustainability gather. The Museum's exhibit builders constructed 12 wooden frames; each holds two photos back-to-back and sits on a stand, making this portable exhibit ready to "pop up" for a day or a few hours in local places. Each frame and stand (holding two photos) requires about 3 square feet of space, and the number of photos show can be adjusted depending upon the space available.
