The University’s progress was marked by major strides forward in the key areas of student quality, faculty and academic excellence and the campus experience. The Second Century Campaign, the largest fundraising initiative in SMU history, continued to play an essential role in drawing the resources that are enabling SMU to continue its remarkable rise as a top educational institution. By the end of the fiscal year, SMU had received commitments for more than 84 percent of the campaign’s financial goals. Thanks to the inspiring support of alumni, parents and friends of the University, SMU is continuing to build a strong foundation for an extraordinary second century on the Hilltop.
