Artisanal fisheries is the weakest part when negotiating management issues on a large scale, and its interaction with the many other activities in the same (shared) area calls for a special attention. It is believed that more knowledge, and specifically results from case studies based on actual situations, can help to visualise the changes needed to direct artisanal fisheries toward a more modern management,

    A la une / Actualité pour dissuader les candidats à l’émigration clandestine Une cellule anti-harragas C’est l’ampleur prise ces derniers mois par ce phénomène qui a poussé les responsables à mettre en place cette structure. Le phénomène de l’émigration clandestine s’est amplifié ces derniers mois, et ce, depuis le début de la saison estivale, au niveau de la côte de l’extrême-ouest du pays, en particulier les zones de Honaine, Ghazaouet et Marsat Ben M’hidi, ainsi que les wilayas de Tlemcen et Aïn Témouchent avec Béni-Saf et Bouzedjar, qui ont enregistré un nombre important de candidats à la harga. À cet effet, et pour y faire face, une cellule de sécurité et de crise, composée des représentants de la Sûreté nationale, de la Gendarmerie nationale et des gardes-côtes, vient d’être mise sur pied tout récemment afin d’assurer un travail de coordination. Il s’agit, dans un premier temps, de parvenir à dissuader les jeunes Algériens de recourir à cette aventure à haut risque qu’est la tentative d’émigration clandestine. Par ailleurs, nous apprenons que cette cellule aura pour mission principale le suivi des mouvements et des différents passages des harragas, qui devront en même temps être soumis à des enquêtes approfondies quant à leurs origines, mais également les motifs qui les ont amenés à faire ce choix extrême aux conséquences parfois dramatiques. L’importance de rassembler toutes les informations nécessaires sur ce phénomène qui prend de l’ampleur dans la région ouest du littoral est aussi l’un des objectifs de cette cellule, et ce, pour permettre aux différents responsables concernés de prendre les mesures s’imposant en pareille circonstance.

In addition to the point-clouds, other outputs can be obtained, such as ortho-images, virtual itineraries, 2D cartography, and meshes, which implies a second avenue of multimedia products, such as 3D Portable Document Format (PDF) files and interactive applications. All these options are interesting for the management and broadcast of cultural heritage. The works that have been developed in this research are aimed at setting a workflow for the TLS surveying works and subsequent data management for the generation of a 3D model of the Caliphal Gate of Ceuta, which is considered as one of the most important medieval findings in Spain in recent years, and its immediate surroundings. This model and the different outputs that have been obtained from it allow for the continuation of the historiographic analysis of the complex, while documenting a partial stage in the development of the works of enhancement.

Accepted 24 February, 2013 The fig ( Ficus carica L.) is widely distributed and represents a natural wealth and diversity in all Tunisia. Investigations in the field showed that ‘smyrna’ type, bearing one generation of figs, were predominant in the coast while ‘san pedro’ type, bearing two generations of fruits, is more encountered in the continent. A large array of caprifig trees were counted in coastal ‘Bekalta’, while caprifigs are rare in ‘Djebba’ and are mostly found in wild form. Biodiversity of fig species was corroborated by analysis of the fruit. A wide range of size, shape (round, oblate and oblong) and colour (yellow green, purple green and purple black) was observed in the two areas. Fruits originated from continental zone were larger (59 mm) and heavier (82 g), while fruits from coastal zone were sweetener (18.4%) and tasteful. Comparison of cultivar ‘Zidi’ growing in the two contrasting areas revealed a gain of precocity in fruit ripeness in the coast. However, ‘Zidi’ figs picked from continental ‘Djebba’ were larger, heavier and sweetener than those picked from ‘Bekalta’.

The Zara case study. È forse possibile, in tempi di crisi economica e finanziaria, considerare l’area Mediterranea come la nuova frontiera del rinascimento globale? Rispondere a questa domanda è stata la grande sfida che ci si è proposti in questa tesi di laurea. Cina, India e Brasile sono indubbiamente paesi performanti; ma se una potenziale via d'uscita alle problematiche economiche d'imprese europee meridionali, come ad esempio quelle italiane o spagnole, fosse da ricercare proprio dietro l’angolo? Sotto il profilo del business, l’area geografica del Medio Oriente e del Nord Africa potrebbe essere a buon diritto considerata tra le più promettenti a livello globale, come testimonia il crescente fenomeno d'internazionalizzazione che si colloca alla base di scelte di delocalizzazione e investimento da parte di numerose aziende europee all’interno della regione. Tuttavia, un'attenta analisi in merito non può prescindere da una distinzione tra le due differenti aree che la compongono: da un lato i paesi mediorientali del Golfo Persico e dall’altro il Mediterraneo vero e proprio, area su cui verrà concentrata maggiormente l’attenzione.
