CUTTING EDGE More great 20th Century art hits Newcastle this month with the arrival of works by Henri Matisse, hot on the heels of Picasso’s Weeping Woman, which has recently left town after its starring role in a show at The Laing. Drawing with Scissors features lithographic prints of exuberant cut-outs produced in the last four years of Matisse’s life, and includes iconic images such as The Snail and the Blue Nudes (pictured). LICENCE TO THRILL The first NE1 Newcastle Motor Show hits Grey Street July 11-12 with hundreds of vintage, rare, classic and exotic cars set to pack the street as well as activities for kids of all ages.
