QLD event - Incredible Edible Café in Tannum Sands. IE café is a not-for-profit venture and social enterprise whose profit goes back into creating opportunities for people living with a disability to participate and contribute to the community. They provide paid work and training opportunities for individuals living with a disability. Featured at the event will be guest speaker Ben Haack who is not only a Special Olympics Athlete but a leader and motivational speaker. Ben will be sharing his powerful story about living with Asperger’s Syndrome in a unified, inclusive way and reminding people the power of empathy. This year will expend from the Sunflower artistic vision to include the key crops of the shire: Sorghum, Cotton, Wheat & Canola. Sunflower Art Festival pursues artists of all abilities to present their chosen medium of art to the Liverpool Plains community in this exhibition. EXHIBITION Saturday 23 November 2019 - 18 January 2020 Gallery Hours: Mon - Sat daily, from 10am - 4pm 23/11/2019 Paynesville Farmers’ Market Market The Paynesville Farmers Market is held 8:30am to 1:00pm, the 4th Saturday of each month at the Gilsenan Reserve, Raymond St. VIC Whether it’s buying ingredients for a special meal, something for the garden, some treats for the family, catching up with friends or neighbours, meeting someone new or listening to some music, it’s worth coming out for the morning to visit the Paynesville Farmers Market. Farmers Markets are a traditional way of buying local produce and home made products, and there are many benefits for the buyer, the producer, the community and the environment. The buyer has the opportunity to meet the person behind the product and to learn more about the product’s history. In a world where most of the food we eat is processed and packaged it’s rare to buy direct from the producer and learn a bit about where the food you’re eating has come from. The producer has another site to display and promote their produce and products. They also benefit from the feedback they receive direct from the public, as well as the opportunity to share ideas and recipes. The community benefits from having another local event where people can come together in a relaxed settng to meet or catch up, and the environment benefits as produce and products have to travel less to reach their market. Sites for stallholders are available for $25 in summer and $15 in winter. All funds raised are used to maintain and develop the reserve for the benefit of the local community. Also known as COTA NT Foreword COTA NT wanted to mark 50 years of operations in the Northern Territory by celebrating some of the seniors it works to support. We could not think of a better way to do it than to collect 50 stories from our seniors throughout the Northern Territory and share them with you. “50 Seniors, 50 Stories” offers an insight into NT seniors’ lives: their thoughts, their histories and how they enjoy the lifestyle of the Territory. I found reading the stories enthralling and I know you will too. We have many more stories to share – so we might even produce a second edition! We tried to gather stories from every region, but realised that most of our storytellers had lived in many parts of the Territory, and experienced each region's unique landscape and hospitality.

Chancellor_ Dean_ Graduates_ Ladies and Gentlemen It is a great honour to share this happy occasion with you. I congratulate and commend the graduates for the perseverance and hard work that has earned you the success that we are marking today. No doubt many of you have already embarked on your careers, and your time at the Australian School of Business may seem but a distant memory – but the great thing about a good education is that it will stay with you forever. You will be able to apply the tool kits that you have gained from this outstanding institution right throughout your business career. I wish you great success in those careers and hope that every one of you will make a significant contribution to this country in your particular fields of endeavour. I too graduated in business – firstly with a BA in accounting, and after four years of investment banking I followed this up with an MBA. In life you only need to make a few really good decisions in order to have a fulfilling and rewarding career – and I must say my decision to study business, both at an undergraduate and then post graduate level were undoubtedly two of the best decisions I ever made. Business degrees open many doors, and you can apply your skills across so many different spheres, whether it be in the corporate world, or indeed all areas of government, the Arts, as well as the not for profit or philanthropic world.
