SANTA ROSA, CA (November 24, 2015) – Wells Fargo Center for the Arts announced today CMT and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Jennifer Nettles will be coming to Santa Rosa on Friday, February 26, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. The one night only performance at the Center is a part of the CMT Presents Jennifer Nettles with 2016 Next Women of Country Tour and will include 2015 Best New Artist Grammy Nominee Brandy Clark as well as special guests Lindsay Ell and Tara Thompson. The tour is an extension of CMT’s “Next Women of Country” campaign, an initiative that focuses more attention and airplay to female country artists. Tickets for Jennifer Nettles are $78 and $58 and go on sale Friday, December 4 at Noon. They are available online at wellsfargocenterarts.org, by calling 707-546-3600, and in person at the box office at 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa. Jennifer Nettles has racked up over 22 million in worldwide record sales since exploding onto the music scene in 2004, amassing eight #1 hits and countless accolades and awards. She recently embarked as headliner on the “Playing with Fire Tour” with Brandy Clark and Ryan Kinder. A lot of the songs came from conversations about that.” While the powerful, anthemic sound of The Incredible Machine won’t surprise anyone who knows its origins, it might shock country fans used to more down-home sounds. But reinvention is almost as much part of Sugarland’s identity as any one genre. The group grew out of the Atlanta singer-songwriter scene but found immediate success in mainstream country music with its 2004 multiplatinum debut, Twice the Speed of Life. “We’ve turned over a whole lot of new leaves since starting this Stewart Volland band,” says Bush.
