NEWS OF THE WEEK: Shediac gives everyone a chance to play 2015 Report Card Alyssa and Renelle Belliveau have been playing Now that Canada's top players have called it a wheelchair tennis for two years now, and year for 2015, Tom Tebbutt has come out with competed in their first tournament this summer his 2015 report card on the Canadian tennis at the Shediac Tennis Club of New Brunswick season. Be forewarned, Tom is a pretty tough gave the girls a day to remember. Check out how marker too! the club helped the girls feel special and how tennis is keeping them active. A look back at the 2015 Fed Cup As we look ahead to the 2016 season, here is a glimpse back at the 2015 Fed Cup outcomes for Canada, and the potential for 2016. Federer's toughest test Resident statistics pro Rob Cianfarani has crunched the numbers again, this time on why Rafael Nadal just seems to have the great Federer's number when they play. Vasek where art thou? With the tennis season winding down we miss seeing some of our favourite Canadian stars in action. Luckily for you we have gathered some of our all-time favourite Vasek moments, just for all of us. Have you reached your junior potential? Tennis is unlike most sports in that it requires a large amount of mental focus. As the only person to rely on (unless we are talking doubles) the pressure is intense, and it takes a special kind of person to not let the pressure to get to them. With this in mind here is a look at how to access your untapped junior potential, considering risks like burnout and injury. Let's be aware, tennis and diabetes As November is Diabetes awareness month, we felt it was appropriate to look into an issue stretching across our nation. Here are some facts and tips on how tennis (or other physical activity) can help reduce your chance of being diagnosed with a disease that 10 million Canadians currently struggle with daily! Tom Tebbutt honoured by Sports Media Canada For years Tom has been found at tennis courts around the world, covering any Canadian talent he could, and now it is time for Tom to step into the spotlight for the work he has done. Tom recently received one of the top national Sports Media awards for his contributions to journalism and sport. A day in the life of Benjamin Sigouin Life as a top Canadian junior tennis player can be tough, but ultimately has a chance to be extremely rewarding. Check out this video of Benjamin and what a typical day is like at the Tennis Canada National Training Centre, located at Stade Uniprix in Montreal Quebec. Top 8 in WTA no fluke The 8 women who vied for WTA bragging rights by winning the final tournament of the year in Singapore were not there by fluke. Rob Cianfarani has again found the stats to back up just how great these women have been this season. Dynka played a disciplined game hitting balls deep especially with her Qualifying Draw Begins: Saturday, July 7 backhand which was her more secure wing.
