Genesis 37:18—20 They saw him in the distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him. They said to each other, “Here comes that dreamer. Now is our chance; let us kill him and throw him into one of these pits and say that a wild beast has devoured him. Then we shall see what will become of his dreams”. 2. Leviticus 19:15 Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly. 3. Deuteronomy 16:18 Appoint judges and other officials in every town that the Lord your God gives you. These men are to judge the people impartially. 4. Psalm 34:14 Turn away from evil and do good. Search for Peace and work to maintain it. 5. Psalm 82:3—4 Give justice to the weak and the orphan; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. 6. Psalm 140:12 Lord, I know that you defend the cause of the poor and the rights of the needy. 7. Proverbs 21:3 Do what is right and just; that is more pleasing to God than sacrifice. 8. Proverbs 21:15 NIV When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers. 9. Proverbs 28:5 Evil people do not know what justice is, but those who worship the Lord understand it well. 10. Isaiah 1:16—17 Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow. 11. Isaiah 54:10 Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you. 12. Isaiah 51:7 Hearken unto me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear not the reproach of people, and be not dismayed by their revilings. 13. Amos 5:21—24 I hate, I despise your feasts, and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies. Even though you offer me burnt offerings and cereal offerings, I will not accept them, and the peace offerings of your fatted beasts, I will not look upon. Take away from me the noise of your songs; to the melody of your harps I will not listen. But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an everflowing stream. 14. Micah 6:8 NIRV The Lord has shown you what is good. He has told you what he requires of you. You must act with justice. You must love to show mercy. And you must be humble as you live in the sight of your God.
