Temporary Closure of Nynehead Road
TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset have made an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Nynehead Road directly underneath the railway bridge for a distance of 40 metres.
This order will enable Amberon Ltd to carry out works using mobile scaffold to repair 2 damaged chevrons in this road.
The Order becomes effective on 28 March 2014 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to last for 1 day 08:00 - 18:00. While the closure is in operation an alternative route will be signed as detailed below.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE
From the northern end of the closure proceed in a northerly direction along Nynehead Road to the junction with Chipley Road. Turn left and proceed in a north westerly direction along Chipley Road and Nynehead Road to the junction with the B3187 Milverton Road. Turn left and proceed in a south eastery direction along the B3187 to the junction with B3187 High Street, Wellington. Turn left and proceed in a north easterly direction along High Street and Taunton Road to Taunton Road Roundabout. Take the first exit off the roundabout and proceed in a northerly direction along Nynehead Road to the southern end of the closure. The reverse route applies.
