The volumes in the Organiza- tional Frontiers Series have the following goals: 1. Focus on research and theory in organizational science, and the implications for practice 2. Inform readers of significant advances in theory and research in psychology and related disciplines that are relevant to our research and practice 3. Challenge the research and practice community to develop and adapt new ideas and to conduct research on these developments 4. Promote the use of scientific knowledge in the solution of public policy issues and increased organizational effectiveness The volumes originated in the hope that they would facilitate continuous learning and a continuing research curiosity about organizational phenomena on the part of both scientists and practitioners. If only three adjectives could be applied to this film they would be puerile, crass and disappointing. 3 A Million Ways to Die in the West begins promisingly. We are faced with the action straight away as a sheep farmer Albert Stark (played by director/ star/ co-producer/ co-writer Seth MacFarlane) reluctantly faces a main street gunfight. The smiling crowds are gathered hopefully expecting a bloody shootout and are disappointed when Albert chickens out. He loses his girlfriend Louise (Amanda Seyfried) over this and when in the bar with his friends Ruth (Sarah Silverman) and Edward (Giovanni Ribisi) reveals that he hates the West and wants a city life in San Francisco.

JASON LEE & GIOVANNI RIBISI TO PRESENT ELVIS AWARD AT LEGEND OF THE MOTORCYCLE For immediate release. San Francisco – 23 April 2008 – Motorcycles and rock ‘n’ roll have always gone hand in hand, each representing a spirit of rebellion, self-expression and freedom. To celebrate this spirit and pay tribute to a music legend who loved motorcycles, the exclusively licensed Elvis Award, proudly sponsored by Lucky Brand Jeans, will once again be presented at the upcoming Legend of the Motorcycle Concours and will be conferred by actors, rock ‘n’ roll aficionados and motorcyclists Jason Lee and Giovanni Ribisi. Friends and riding partners Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl, Vanilla Sky, The Ballad of Jack & Rose) and Giovanni Ribisi (Flight of the Phoenix, Gone In 60 Seconds, Cold Mountain) will select and present the special award for the bike they feel best represents the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll out of a field of over 250 rare and historic motorcycles spanning over a century of history and popular culture. Furthermore, Lee will unveil his custom motorcycle, the Bullet Falcon, on Concours morning with builder Ian Barry of Falcon Motorcycles. Says Lee, “I’ve always been into motorcycles, having ridden dirt bikes as a kid, but as I got older I became fascinated with vintage British and Japanese bikes. When I saw a photo of an old Reading Standard board track racer I knew I wanted to build something as beautiful and unique, and I knew the only person for the job was Ian. I never could’ve imagined how incredible the end result would be.” Lee has a small but substantial collection of rare motorcycles.

  • Saving Private Ryan Movie Questions
Name: ____________________ PrepUS History Date: _______________ Unit 7 - America in WWII Saving Private Ryan Movie Questions Main Characters in the Film Captain Tom Miller (TOM HANKS) On D-Day, June 6, 1944, Miller led Company C of the 2nd Ranger Battalion onto Omaha Beach. Miller's men suffered high casualties during the attack. On June 9th, Miller picked out a squad of men to complete a special mission to retrieve Private James Ryan, whose three brothers had been recently killed in combat. Sergeant Horvarth (TOM SIZEMORE) Given the nickname “Sarge” by the squad, Technical Sergeant Horvath was a tough, experienced soldier who had served previously alongside Captain Miller in North Africa and Italy. Miller relied heavily on Horvath to help lead the company. Private Reiben (EDWARD BURNS) Reiben was hand-picked by Captain Miller for the mission to retrieve Private Ryan. This 24 yr-old smart New Yorker was the first member of the squad to question the logic of their orders, and the most vocal in expressing his displeasure at the risky mission. Private Caparzo (VIN DIESEL) 22 yr-old tough Chicago Italian with a gentle side. Corporal Edward Wade (GIOVANNI RIBISI) Twenty-eight-year-old, from California: the unit’s sensitive and dedicated medic. He takes great risks in order to save wounded soldiers, often with little success. Private Daniel Jackson (BARRY PEPPER) The unit’s 23 yr-old, deeply religious, Tennessee sharpshooter. His shooting skills turn out to be invaluable to the unit. Private Stanley Mellish (ADAM GOLDBERG) 21 yr-old Private Mellish was a Jewish soldier nicknamed "fish." Handed a Hitler Youth knife by Caparzo shortly after making their way off of the beach, Mellish joked that it was now a Shabbat challah cutter, a Jewish bread knife.
