REFUELLING Petrol engines: only refuel with unleaded petrol with octane rating (RON) not less than 95 conforming to the Eu- ropean specification EN 228. K Diesel engines: only refuel with diesel fuel conforming to the European specification EN590. Using other products or mixtures may damage the engine beyond repair and cause the forfeiture of the warranty cover for caused dam- ages as a consequence. ENGINE STARTING Petrol engines: make sure that the handbrake is engaged; set the gearshift lever to neutral; fully depress the clutch without pressing the accelerator, then turn the ignition key to AVV and release it as soon as the engine has started. Diesel engines: turn the ignition key to MAR and wait for the warning lights Y (or symbol on display) and m to go off; turn the ignition key to AVV and release it as soon as the engine has started. PARKING ON FLAMMABLE MATERIAL While working, the catalyst develops a very high temperature. Do not park the car over grass, dry leaves, pine nee- ┮ dles or any other inflammable materials: risk of fire. RESPECTING THE ENVIRONMENT The car is fitted with a system that allows continuous diagnosis of the components correlated with emissions to en- sure better respect for the environment. 001-022 BRAVO GB 10-05-2007 8:57 Pagina 3 ELECTRICAL ACCESSORIES If, after buying the car, you decide to add electrical accessories (that will gradually drain the battery), visit a Fiat Dealership. They can calculate the overall electrical requirement and check that the car’s electric system can sup- port the required load. ▵ CODE card Keep the code card in a safe place, not in the car. The code card shall be used for requesting additional keys. SCHEDULED SERVICING Correct maintenance of the car is essential for ensuring it stays in tip-top condition and safeguards its safety fea- tures, its environmental friendliness and low running costs for a long time to come.
